I dont judge black feminism by twitter arm-chair social justice tropes. I rather define it by those who actually publish literature on the topic. Read Black Feminist Thought by Patricia Hill Collins. White man/woman worship is a result of internalized oppression that affects both genders (Hello Don Lemon)

I judge black feminists by the ones I come in contact with, and the ones that I've interacted with whether online or offline has been demonic.

On top of that the fact that black feminists align themselves with our enemy let's me know what they're about.

there is a distinction between black feminist views and white feminism. Many of the current black feminist thinkers (bell hooks, angela davis, patricia hill collins, etc) reject white feminist thought, and are very critical of them.

And using your same logic, if we are supporting all black issues, how do we do that without supporting our sisters?

Some black women attack us, but a lot more love and support us. I don't advocate for gender wars, only finding ways to listen to the plight of our sisters today, and seeing how we as a community can improve their collective social conditions.

We support our sisters through supporting pro-blackness. Black feminism is not pro-black anything nor does it warrant supporting merely because some dumb c00n bytch says so. We shouldn't support any movement merely because someone black is involved. That is not the definition of "pro black".

Exactly. Actual black feminist practictioners don't follow any theory that is divested from beguiling white supremacist c00nery. Whatever writings otherwise, the movement as it exists is the aforementioned and so must be derided and defeated whereever it crops up. If another group of people want to create a group that actually has legitimacy, and isn't some cac worship front, they should also be judged based on what they do, not what they say they do.

You're an obvious troll so generally I ignore you but if the focus of black feminism was to fight anti-black femaleism perpetuated by non-black groups, then black feminists would attack non-black groups, not BM, which is what black feminists generally do. Black feminists actually tend to ignore non-black people who attack them which implies that black feminist's goal isn't to solve anything with respects to non-black groups. Black feminists claim to be about one thing and then are entirely about another. It's all smoke-and-mirrors, which is why the "movement" is correctly characterized as articulate c00nery.

First off, black feminism focuses on empowering BW and dispelling the anti-black femaleism by everyone. This means BW and BM are not exempt from being called out. Based on your nonsensical generalizations, it's easy to tell that you do not know many (if any) black feminists or womanists and have done no research on the movement so there's no point in attempting a reasonable discussion on the topic with you. I do not deny that there are some black feminists who do misuse the movement but there are many more that use it for good but of course you don't bother to, at least, acknowledge them and their work since it doesn't fit your agenda.

If there is anything about us that I reckon they do attack, it's the concept of "hypermasculinity" and the idea of what we think [black] women are "supposed" to be. That's my limited understanding of it, and I'm paraphrasing a tad. I don't take these critiques personally.

Right. I see the traditional black feminists (non-twitter; i really need to read their thoughts as well though so I don't blindly support someone or not) attacking how most of black history is told from the point of view of men, and is not inclusive to the women who fought side by side with them. I also see them calling out the hypocrisy of being pro-black but not supporting equal rights for both genders. and i dig that.

the moment i see some blind black men aint shyt type of stuff coming out, i dont equate that with black feminism. And knowing the history of black feminism is important- if they were controlled by the white women, there would be no need to distinguish themselves from that movement. The feminist movement has by and large ignored the plight of not just black women, but all women of the global majority, and black feminism grew out of this.

Even the twitter black feminists- I see they just went in on Eddie Huang over the stupid shyt he said on the Bill Maher show, and rightfully so. The ones who created #blacklivesmatter, I support them as well. Kimberle Crenshaw just dropped a piece today asking why the My Brothers Keeper initiative only targets boys when girls need just as much help. Valid critique.

But when we immediately write them off, I see a correlation between that and how dismissive some whites are of black social issues.

they were founded as a stand-alone identity advocacy group; the black feminist movement is not the same as white feminist movement. This shyt goes back to the early 1900's when suffrage groups denied black women the right to march for voting rights in a non-segregated manner (at the end of the march). so they started their own marches. Black feminism has always stood separate from white feminism, and attacked white feminism when they unfairly targeted black men with racist rhetoric.
