that's fine, we know you're a special snowflake, not to be lumped into the collective. but do you not see the issue? i mean, white girls have a case for BW culturally appropriating their style as well. it all looks so petty and desperate to me. like black folks have nothing to be proud of, so we're trynna shame women for a black hairstyle.
Nothing you say is going to quell the anger in me every time I hear "Bo Derek braids" on TV :scust:

This is not appropriation this is cultural assimilation.

This blogger makes a great point.

Black women are not exploiting white women when they do this.
What? Get the fukk out here with that bullshyt reasoning. Fugazy ass eyes and hair ain't got nothing to do with assimilation esp when it looks faker than mother fukker please. Man folks will come,up with any ole excuse to be right smdh

so basically it can only go one way, right? :comeon: BW can wear their 22 inch brazilian wave, grab some green contacts, and they're just doing it to "assimilate"? :comeon:
You're being obtuse. Yes to assimilate because their natural features are not appreciated equally. Go to you local drug store and look at the magazine covers. All Eurocentric trends of beauty even in the Black owned magazines like King and Smooth.

Well that's a choice you make but I don't see why you care so much but hey I'm not you.
The same reason why a lot of blacks get up in arms when radio stations promote people like Sam smith, Adelle, and Macklemore as the face of traditionally black music :ehh:

For me it's not Kylie Jenner herself, she's just the straw that broke the camel's back. Its everything that lead to this point :manny:

how is that stopping black women from making their own natural hairstyles hot? what? does it take a WW to steal yall hairstyles before you see the value in them?

also, neither king or smooth magazine are black owned.

I hate when people say shyt like this, like folks can't multitask and attack different issues at once :heh:
Who cares about multitasking on dumb shyt like this though? That's my point whether you huff and puff ain't shyt going to change about them doing this and or the good music being good music but go ahead and multitask. Attack multiple trivial issues at the same damn time when your energy could be focused on bigger stuff but maybe this is big in your world. Its not in mine and that's where we have our differences

Yes it does, Its a reason why Black Miss USA contestants place high when they have colored contacts and 20 inch weave or how about in Miss Universe when Black African contestants with natural hair barely even place. You not acknowledging this will only dig Black people further in to a cultural hole.

It's the reason why half of the coli men like exotic looking women who look nothing like their mother
Its the reason why their has never been a Black african miss universe with natural hair.
It's the reason why "nappy" hair is not presentable in work places.
It's the reason why black people code switch when talking to white people.
Its the reason why black men call each other ugly because they have broad noses and big lips.

You denying won't change anything the problems will still be there in your face.

Nothing is stopping them and Black women do make their own styles hot but I don't see why you have an issue with what Amandla is saying. Calling out cultural theft is not a bad thing. What she is saying is right but I think you just don't like it coming from a Biracial young woman.
