Lithonia really that bad now? Back in the mid 00s, we used to laugh at Lithonia trying be hard :ohhh:

Bruh it’s so many robberies and murders out there..I’m from clayton county I thought Lithonia always been bad. It’s always on the news, & when I worked out in DeKalb I’d see some crazy police activity every week..Dekalb PD looking for folks in the woods running around with guns out, SWAT teams at apartment complexes & other stuff. But once you get away from N & S Hairston it’s cool

It’s mostly along the areas around North and South Hairston roads. All of it isn’t bad though. It’s a road in the cut that leads to Stonecrest near New Birth with some homes that rival those in Sandy Springs and Buckhead

shyt from what I remember, Lithonia wasn't that bad! It wasn't North DeKalb but it was better than spots like Gresham Park, Glenwood, etc. I always looked at it as the real Black middle class part of South DeKalb lol. Ellenwood area too was pretty nice with the subdivisons.

But I can see how Lithonia can be bad now. I remember a lot of folks were losing their homes in 07/08. And more Atlanta cats were moving to the eastside during the mid 00s. The block was hot right before I moved to DC.

I just peeped this article saying crime is actually at historic lows but the murder rate is increasing, it's higher than Atlanta's now smh.

Torpy at Large: DeKalb grabs Atlanta’s unwanted murder crown

Why does it seem like the black neighborhoods in LA are always near chemicals and shyt
Leaders and Baldwin are near oil fields right?
Compton and watts basically look like industrial areas

Yeah Ladera Heights and Baldwin Hills border the oil fields. The oil fields were there way before the black folks could move in those areas though

Trump and his cronies are trying hard as a mug to strip away federal employee protections and get us out the paint though. They doing a lot of straight bullshyt like hiring freezes, pay freezes, forced relocations, revoking telework and the shutdown to force a lot of feds to quit.
Yup. I’m working with the government this summer and everyone through a fit over the new collective bargaining agreement cutting down on telework and leave

:mjlol:lol

all places in maryland literally like 15-20 mins of eachother.
You can just call this shyt upper Marlboro or Bowie. Even then, this shyt ain't great. If you live in the area, you wanna take your black ass to Silver Spring if you could afford it to avoid the riff raff and they got good schools. PG county schools are ass.

Move to Texas and Georgia they said
I lived in Bowie, Fairfax and Houston. Fairfax was by far the best. Bowie was ass but I loved seeing Black folks, that part was dope and while they had Black officers, them nikkas stay spazzing for no reason. The local politics was ass and white folks owned everything but lived in Crofton.

Fairfax was great. I lived at Dunn Loring. That shyt was nice and smooth. Only issue was :mjpls:, cacs who think they are big shyt and negro bedwenches and c00ns. shyt was mad convenient. Harris Teeter was close. A nikka hooped daily and i had a movie theater in the complex. shyt, my wife loved it.

DC was cool af too but never wanted to live there. They charge for everything. Parking was too high. When I was single, the options were all thot pockets . Not my type of hype.

Houston just boring but it's cool. Family spots. You gotta drive for everything like Atlanta but it's not as cool as Atlanta. A lot of food options. Low walking score. Texas is different but it's not bad. I fukk with it.

I would live in any of these cities on the real. All got good and some bad.

I'm sorry but Atlanta has to have at least one neighborhood on that list. Not everyone is on that "fake it til you make it" category. There's still a lot of successful people down there.

Atlanta doesn't pay like DC because the cost of living isn't as high. Also, Atlanta appears to be more self-made where as DC is more of a government town/region.
