they furious!
Gonna watch this movie based off the strength of this interview
I love this video! They're all like "yeah, I don't wanna touch that..."
But who pockets fatter? Who go home to dimes? Who eating shrimps and lobsters? Thought so
He played it perfectly because he left it open ended for one of the other directors to address it directly without having to respond to what his reasons wereits like them other directors used that senfield ( i know its wrong) gif where he says naah im good and waives off the question lol..
WHITE DIRECTORS unable to answer why WHITE DIRECTORS dont cast more minorities in leading roles
but the dude kinda backed down when he was asked does he feel its harder for black actors.. he shoulda continued and was like YES obviously look at the round table unable to answer why THEY dont cast black/latino actors
the reason there aren't more black leads is movie is because the executives believe (wether they are right or wrong is another debate) that movies with white leads will make more money because they believe that's what most of the people want to see. so who ever greenlights movies has the power and it trickles down from there to the director.whoever is putting their money on the line gets to decide what it is.
He's right though. There's a movie reality and then there's real reality.
You have studios setting movies and tv shows in large urban areas like New York and LA where there are huge minority populations but, the entire cast is white. New York City is 28% Hispanic, 33% Non-Hispanic White, 23% Non-Hispanic Black, 13% Asian. Yet you watch How I Met Your Mother, Sex and the City or Friends, and those shows would make you believe New York is full of cacs
