Alot. :manny: Not that they were ground fighting it was more like somone fell, got mounted and pummeled into oblivion.

How many fights have we seen someone get scoop slammed. :usure: nikkas stop actin like they dont know what nikkas do when it comes time to talk about that BJJ :wow:

Stop it..

:duck:

out of all the streets fights I've witness by the time it hit the ground it was already over. I've seen more dudes get slammed than I have seen dudes on the ground fighting for control. :sas1: These bjj schools spit that "90% of fights go to the ground" so dudes feel more comfortable letting go of that 150$ a month. :mjpls: With some good boxing the only thing going to the ground will be your opponent minus his equilibrium :wow:

I'll let you tell it though

At age 6 i will be bringing him to a boxing gym in Leimert Park to learn how to box for real. I will have him do this until at least 9th grade

How does a bjj person defeat your 'regular' person in a fight.

bjj will help you with measuring distance and getting the other person to the ground (via wrestling takedowns :sas1: ) where they can proceed to tie nikkas into pretzels and all that. The problem is if you run into someone with hands you can get caught coming in(in almost all wrestling takedowns you are taught to come in with your head up always , you'll be good against 99% of the population doing that but if you run into someone with hands :rip:)

Put it like this I know PLENTY of bjj guys that take some form of striking as well @Mowgli included. :sas1: I don't know any boxers that feel like they need to compliment their boxing with bjj. :manny:

I dont need to pay for BJJ for him since he has a bjj black belt in his home. I think a lot of kids cave to peer pressure because he alphas in the school are dumb as rocks and violent. This way, hes got all bases covered and can be his own person and kick the bullies ass.

What happens if they get knocked down.

Every boxer will tell you that his jab will knock you through 3 buildings if it lands. Thing is, it dont work like that.

Classic wrestling/bjj/Judo takedown. Boxer throws punches that miss, ol boy shoots for the takedown. Takedown is stuffed and ol boy stood up and transitioned into a Uchi Mata. Strikes on the ground. He lets ol boy get up and then demoralizes him with a suplex (wrestling) and its over. He dont want no more. If it had been bjj, it would have been the same cept the fight would have been over on the ground and he wouldnt have let him get up, but if he did he culd have stood up and choked him or just taken him back down.

When you fall down, all that jumping rope, ko power, speed bagging and head movement is useless.

Learn BJJ bruhs. :usure:

Boxing so you can drop mothafukkas
bjj so if you get dropped you can handle yourself instead of getting rained on. Simple, really.
Incorporate kicks, knees and elbows for the WORLDSTAR effect.

I find that to be true as well. Most fights I've witnessed, and even a few that I've been in, are usually the same: whoever gets caught by a clean shot first usually clenches. It's like a human reflex.

And i see it time and time again. Fights start out with a bunch of wild swinging and dancing and such, but as soon as something connects it turns into a clench.

You're obviously trolling at this point :comeon:

No i'm not trolling. I am asking because I have heard people describe how they were 'in shape' and could not do boxing workouts. I may have worded it incorrectly a bit, but not trolling. Honestly though, with the way my week is going, i couldn't care less about what you think right now. I'm just using this site as a distraction right now.
