Puff worked at Uptown Records before Bad Boy started as an A&R, so it was his job to deal with demos and tapes from artists.Help me understand something. So this Notorious B1 recorded and dropped this mixtape in Mississippi in 92/93 and it reached the streets of New York and Puff got a hold of it and decided to steal and create Biggie?
They didn't have Datpiff back then so how far can a mixtape really reach circulation?
This thread shows who was actually buying tapes back then.Have you ever heard of Jack the Rapper?
ICP and Esham went down there in 93 to hand out their tapes to people and guess what...horrorcore popped up in NYC one year later. Coincidence?
This is real talk …. Back in the days my homie mailed demos out to def jam and red man made a very similar song to what my homie sent outit happens all the time
ive posted on here a few times where Ive had songs stolen
ive sent emails to producers and artists back in the day and theyve taken the beats and said fukk me too lol
this goes to the ghostwriting hating im always talking about
when I got older I realized alot of cats dont write 100% of their discography
once people get fame or views... people do whatever to feed family... even if it means cutting corners and striking while the iron is hot
people will always be in denial of that though. Who could blame them really. As long as they dont pretend to be "the best rapper of all time"
know whats funny? puffy had them change their name from poetical prophets to mobb lolSays the guy who stans two rappers known for stealing their names from South Central Cartel?
Mobb approached them at one of the conventions and backed them down for stealing their names before they even thought of them on some Inception shyt.Says the guy who stans two rappers known for stealing their names from South Central Cartel?
Not to mention... the cadence is too similaryep thats the one im not sure about.
I came across this video on youtube and it talked about how Biggie potentially stole his name, and the song Juicy from this rapper.
Same beat and flow and his name is Notorious B1 and this song came out in 1993.
