If you were around back then you know jacking was going on then. But you did it...differently.

The sample isn't the issue because it was common for multiple producers to have the same sample. Then normally put their own lil flip on it.

I can totally see Puff hearing the song and requiring big to do Juicy because he knew it was a hit. Aren't yall saying Big didn't want to do the song lol? Yeah Big knew where the song came from and even sent a shot at dude.

That was part of that NY arrogance too. That Bama nikkas couldn't do hip hop, but every now and then they had a nice beat. "Just lemme jack this beat and put some NY flavor to it, and show these country nikkas how it's done".

And I don't even gig Big for this, like I said, jacking was around. I think the name is coincidence. Probably what caught puff eye.

Why yall think DJs tried to hide their samples lol.

I believe Puff took the idea from Pete Rock bro. PR's been real vocal about Puff hearing his version of the beat at his crib & stealing the idea. It's why Puff gave him the remix to try to make it right

Only thing is Pete would've had the beat, but Puff must have found the guys demo too. Because Big sent a shot at the dude lol.

So perhaps puff heard what Pete was doing with the sample, but puff then found the entire song and liked it. He even played it for Big and told him that was now their hit. And Big didn't like it, but puff was his label so he had no choice, and besides "them country nikkas wasn't doing it right".

It's definitely not impossible bro. I just think it's coincidence. I've heard other versions of rappers rapping over the Juicy sample and they all sound similar.

It’s crazy how you just literally made all of that up in your head, complete with fake quotes :dead:

Because there is only evidence that there is one song where they used the same beat where a lot of rappers would use a similar flows to

There is zero evidence that BIG took this guys whole style and ran with it on every song lol
