Wild, no one mentioning CM Punk.
2002-2004 CM Punk was truly wrestlings "Lebron James"

The first true internet darling

Was the face of ROH (Lebron HS)

Took multiple years to truly win his 1st real title in July 2011 (Lebron finally wining a NBA title in June 2012)

Big return to wrasslin in AEW and won their title (Lebron return and title victory Cavs 2016)

Daniel Bryan could be Dwayne Wade. (Won just as many titles as Lebron but still behind him)

Samoa Joe is definitely Carmelo (no true world title victory but seen as important his whole career and continues to pop up in promotions late into his career like NXT and AEW)

To the fans, warrior in wcw in 98 was by no means a big deal. He was done after his 96 wwf run completely. Lashley’s wwf return and even his tna debut was a bigger deal than warrior in 98, because he was fukkin done.
Warrior was still over as fukk in 98 :gucci:

Only reason he was “done” right afterwards is because he was just brought in to give Hoegan his win which even 16 year old me saw coming a mile away

Had he had a legit run in WCW, he woulda been more over than anyone in the company

If they were smart, they woulda gave him the world title. Lot of young people don’t realize how over Warrior was. He was legit more over than Hoegan was.

WCW really botched what coulda been the GOAT tag match Hoegan/Hart vs Warrior/Sting :snoop:

After watching the Lex Luger documentary, I think he should be on the list. Vince had him pegged s the next Hogan (But the people wanted Bret)
I say this all the time y’all prolly tired of me saying this but Luger not winning the world title off Yoko at SummerSlam 93 might be the WOAT booking decision :gucci:

Yoko was dope and we all Love him in hindsight but that was the best time to crown Lex. Nobody cared bout Yoko as champ. Lex in summer 93 was arguably the most over any wrestler has ever been.

People have revisionist history. Jericho was made a star by WWE. He was a Midcard chickenshyt heel in the cruiser weight division in WCW that was over with the smarks.
Yup. Him and a couple other guys were made stars by the wwe. The heavyweights didn't wanna put anyone over . Jericho, Benoit, Eddie, ray were all mid card in the wcw but excelled in the wwe .

Lot of the ones here have been mentioned already, however The Radicalz jumping to WWF in 2000 the night after Benoit won the world championship on PPV accelerated the death spiral of WCW. And it's also :deadrose:how they abandoned Shane Douglas (who thought he was going to make the jump too) and left him in WCW
