So how many starts would you give him to turn it around?I don't get what there's not to like. It's one year and the stuff looks good. He was still throwing the ball well. We're not talking about Syndergaard levels of cooked here.
I guess but now we have Megill, Luchesi, Buto and later Peterson who fit this project mold. Let's get some proven commodities in here.As long as this isn't the only move they make I'm fine with it. They better add Yamamoto or another top tier starter, and not act like this is the final piece of the puzzle
I'd have more faith in him getting it together than Megill. It's a gamble worth taking and he's gonna be comfortable still being in NY and around a familiar face (Mendoza). The guy still throws mid to upper 90s and is 29.
