Maybe the best move right now would be Snell and hader. That would be a ton of pitching and a Diaz Hader combo would shorten games

I do not see them pivoting to Snell and I do not want them to do that at all. Id be cool with Montgomery i think but now with Yamamoto gone, somebody is gonna offer big money to him and i dunno about that. Sign Imanaga. Sign Woodruff to a 2 year deal. Give me Justin Turner.

Snell seems hella fragile to me. And does t go deep in games. He’s got great stuff tho.. but nah.

This is where I’m at I think.

This hurts because of his age. Even though we’re still kinda gonna be rebuilding next year he’s young enough to build around even while we wait a year or two till we’re ready to contend

I don’t want to sign Snell or anyone in their 30’s and I don’t think Cohen wants to either

I believe he’s trying to build something like the Dodgers where you have a great farm system every year and the resources to sign huge free agents when you’re ready to contend to supplement them with your young core so you can get to a point where you’re contending every year for a decade like the Dodgers have been

Don't let Franchy Cordero walk out that door :damn:

Mets are determined to give all their prospects a chance to make the team the next few years.
I think the belief in the core (Lindor, Alonso, Nimmo, McNeil) is gone. They want a new core of players to lead the team. They are not adding anymore MLB talent for the long term until they are good again.

Not mad but the pitching lab is on notice they signing a bunch of projects they need more than half of them to work out/improve over their 2023 season. .

Senga, Quintana, Severino, Manaea, Houser. Is decent and not embarrassing. Glad the likes of Megill and Luchesi are just spot SPs if something is up with these 5.

The ceiling of the rotation isn't that high but that's fine. The Mets need innings more than anything especially for the first half but also it'll be easier incorporating the arms from the farm with a few starters who have had experience in the bullpen.
