The Mets are supposedly not done getting pitching and are active in the trade market. The only untouchable prospects for me are Jett Williams, Drew Gilbert and Christian Scott. I might include Acuña in this but i kinda feel like the name is elevating his stock more than his play and profile. I'm also not a fan of trading recent (as in 2023) draftees either.

I'm good on Bieber (fastball velocity keeps dropping) and I feel like no matter what Burnes is testing free agency so I'd rather not. He's probably the best arm avaliable next offseason and part of him saying he's going to free agency is definitely to screw over the Brewers.

I'm also not believing one bit about Alonso preferring other teams. Jim Bowden said the exact opposite as well.

Stearns press conference and interview he did yesterday he basically said this is the team. Maybe we get a reliever or two but otherwise the roster is set. 2024 is all about finding out which prospects go or stay. I think they will actually be the priority playing time wise. For the Mets to sniff a playoff run everything has to break right.

Wish we could have traded for Burnes, but it doesn't look like Baltimore is going to do an extension so we can try signing him in the Off-Season.
