@Black Steph Curry im not from cali but researching the history of San Fran, the city seemed to always have a very low black population in general. I think the peak percentage was like 12%.

But they did have the Fillmore area which was their Harlem.

Correct me if I’m wrong Cali folks. Thanks!

Yeah that was in 1970 Census, SF had a peak black population of 13.4%, which was about 95,900 blacks. SF today is 5% black (based on 2017 estimates) with a population of 44,460 blacks, that's a 53.6% decline in population in a 47-year stretch...

SF does have a lot of strong black history, but it has been minimized and diminished through purposeful discrimination in SF...

•Oakland was 47% black in 1980, but had its largest black population in 1990 at 163,526 blacks (43.9%). Today Oakland is down to 22.9% black, with a population of 97,457...

This is an open secret that isn't as spoken of, but Oakland's black population is declining even faster than SF, that's a 40.4% drop in just 27 years, from its peak in '90...

•Sacramento peak was 15.5% black in 2000, but our largest black population was in 2010 at 68,335 (14.6%). Today we are down to 13.4% black with 67,305 blacks. That's a 1.5% drop from our peak population in '10. This is a topic for another thread, but Sac is probably Northern Cali's best hope at maintaining strong black culture...

•Fresno peaked its black population in 1970 at 9.6%, but its peak population was in 2010 at 40,960 (8.3%). In '17, Fresno had 39,225 blacks (7.4%), a decline of 4.2% from its 2010 peak...

•San Jose peaked in 1990 at 4.7% black, population 36,766. Today SJ is 2.7% black with a population of 28,126, which is a decline of 23.5% from its 1990 peak...

SJ is the only major Cali city I think never really had a black neighborhood, could be wrong though. There just never was alot of us there, but both Oakland and SJ peaked in the same year. Blacks have been getting fleeced from Oakland at a significantly higher rate in the same time span, but I also think that's a product of visibility. People can pretend black people dont really exist in SJ, you really can't do that in Oakland at all...

•Riverside peaked at 7.4% black in both 1990 and 2000, bit its peak population was actually in 2010 at 21,421 (7%). Today Riverside is 6.2% with a population of 20,192, which is a 5.7% decline from 2010, a faster decline than both Sac and Fresno which peaked in the same year...

•Los Angeles peaked in blackness at the same time as SF, at 17.9% in 1970 (503,312). Today LA is 8.7% black with a population of 349,345, a decline of 30.6% since 1970. LA always had a larger and more diverse black culture than SF, and even though it peaked a whole decade before Oakland, Oakland has lost more of its black population...

•San Diego peaked at 9.4% black in 1990 with a population of 104,392. Today SD is only 5.8% black with a population of 82,710. That's a decline of 20.8% since the '90 peak...

SD never had a real large black community, and even though Oakland is still losing more of its blacks, SD is going the way of SF...

All of these large cities in CA are surrounded by smaller cities and burbs that also have large black communities; like LA has Inglewood, Compton, etc, Sacramento has North Highlands, Rancho Cordova, etc; Oakland has Vallejo, Richmond, etc; so on and so forth. Even San Jose has EPA...

Nah, most Bloods in LA ain't in the projects like that. Inglewood Family ain't in the projects, Crenshaw Mafia ain't in the projects, P-Stones ain't in the projects. A lot of these bloods are living in what damn near look like nice family homes from the outside.

Ain’t the P stones in the Jungles/Baldwin Village which might as well be the jects?

But yeah that sounds about right, I got family in Inglewood which is mostly single family homes and there’s barely any crips over there. I was thinking of bounty hunters & pueblos but then again there’s PJs and grapes. LA is interesting because the burbs and the city are very interconnected when it comes to politics... the same is not true in the Bay Area, as soon as you leave your city you on your own unless you got blood relatives in the next city.

Lakeview and Bayview black populations was already declining 15 years ago. Lakeview black population been declining since the early to mid 90's because hella middle class black families understandably didn't want to live around all the drug dealing, mobbin and killing that hit a fever pitch in that era. :whoa:Selling your house for $250k in the 90's to leave one of the worst neighborhoods in the Bay was a no brainer come up. San Francisco will be less than 1% black in 20 years. Are you really surprised? The most liberal city in America is almost completely nikkaless. :mindblown:Most black people in SF live in the jects because the city can tear down the jects whenever they see fit. :damn:

Lol SF will never be whiter than San Jo. The black population will continue to plummet in SF, but I think it'll bottom out at 3-3.5%, and hopefully something in our future generations, when we all either old or gone, that starts drawing people back to SF and Cali in general...

The Jungle was built as family apartments, it would actually look kinda nice if it wasn't for the reputation.

I wish that was true but like @levitate alluded to, they’re tearing down all the major public housing sites which will expedite the exodus.

YOU FAIL TO SEE THE POINT. A TRANSLATOR ISN'T GOING TO TRANSLATE CURRENT SLANG. IT WON'T TRANSLATE CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS.

fukk that. I'll learn another language professionally, just not on the PhD level they demand people to. Thats outrageous and unrealistic for most people, period. The least They can do is learn basic English.

I've actually only been there once, some broad I didn't even know asked for a ride home at 2am on valentines day and didn't tell me until we were already on the way that she lived in the jungle. :mjlol: I was in and out of there in a flash cause of rep alone but it actually was quiet as hell and didn't look like much at all. Not saying that I would spend any time there uninvited.

:russ: Yeah that rep is known even upstate.

Bruh The Bay is just a unique place, cause most of Cali is like this. North Highlands, Arden-Arcade, Elk Grove, Rosemont, Rancho Cordova, La Riviera, West Sacramento, they are their own places of course but they all pretty much considered Sacramento. Very intertwined with city politics on a general level...

Yall always been different lmao...

Lol this is true. It’s crazy though because literally the only time you see nikkas from other cities in the bay come together like that on any type of political level is after they done time together smh. Santa Rita the round table and San Quentin is Congress :mjlol: it be a lot of Oakland & Richmond nikkas who woulda never known each other if not for Camp Sweeney :scust:
