This is a stupid fukking problem to have, but it’s a problem none the less. We need SOMEONE who can be a playmaker in the 4th. If they’re not getting their own, then they’re making life easier for Bam/Jimmy/JJJ and getting them to their spots

They need a point guard. Lowry had 2 assists on the night. He leads the team in assists per game at 4.6 which is awful.

This same shyt has been going on for yeeeeeeaaars. No matter who is on the roster. I don't know if the Spo just stops calling plays and just lets guys do whatever if they get a lead or what but no matter who's on the court the Heat just forget how to play basketball.

All ball movement stops in the 4th quarter. Been an issue basically forever. Lacking a genuine #1 scorer and top tier point guard too shines a massive spotlight on this problem. It was an issue even when Wade was here. It felt like the only plays they’d run late in games was iso, high 1/5 pick & roll, and the occasional post up play.

This is Miami Heat regular season basketball. Spo riding with players even if they don’t have it, to get them reps and to experiment. Spo not calling timeouts to see make them figure it out. Better now in November than in April. Sucks losing such a game to the Knicks, but it’s November. It’s inconsequential in the bigger picture. This is just more game tape for Spo to figure out how to run the offense when you have absent players. No Duncan, no Herro. It is what it is.

Don’t think either Lavine or Derozan are worth blowing up your luxury tax threshold for.

Unless you can convince someone to take Duncan’s and/or Tyler’s contracts off your hands, adding another max or near-max player is out of the question.

im sure we would be sending out some assets to get either. im not so high on Lavine, but Derozan. forsure im interested because he can score the ball which is what we need.

but honestly that more ive thought about & since he has been gone. i would like to see how tyler fits in with us now that we kinda have got into our groove. if tyler can fit back in & be that reliable scorer we need. not dribble the air outta the ball & kill our offensive flow like he does then im good with what we have until we can get maybe a better upgrade if it presents itself.
