Not much. I have one and haven’t touched it in a very long time. I’m just using it for account age with Amex since it’s now a 9 year old account.
Give them some time. Cap 1 is new to the luxury travel card game. Once they complete a lounge here in Houston I’m getting one. The accentuation lounge at IAH was just “ok” and got full as fk very quickly on our way out at 8:30am so I’m not confident I’ll be taking my family of 4/5/6/8 (depending on who travels with us) in there again if I have options. Especially since the small man at the counter tried to G check meamex has some of the best coverage of this kind, compare with sumn like venture x
I just hate waiting for customer support but might have to call them on this. Two worries is the hotel strictly states no refunds after a certain time and I didn’t book it through the portal. Just used the card.
I haven’t reached the same score I had immediately before applying when I got the Gold card in July. I’ve been routinely running 2-3k through the card each month
they show up as an account but they don’t affect your utiliziation. However, in the account history on your credit reports it WILL show what your highest balance on the card was in the payment history section
I still see that whenever you take out the Green Gold or Plat cards ppl are a little shocked. Those cards indicate that you have money especially since you now have the Gold as a metal card. Amex has the goat customer service. Chase is second.
If you booked it through the card you should be fine.
I wanna get the gold or platinum but I think the gold would benefit me more as far as the grocery/restaurant rewards. But the look of that platinum
I did the pre qualification and it said I could apply for both..I’m tempted to go through with it now but I just got approved for a new home loan and don’t wanna cause any unnecessary pulls right now.

Nah we ended up cancelling the move because my son came down with Omarion and the rest of the house did as well. So I’ll try to go later this season.

Aint shyt parents put cable and phone bills in their kids name without telling them and end up not paying the bill. You could do your kids a solid by building their credit by adding them to your card but not telling them.
Of course that assumes you keep your financial house in order.
