Aint shyt parents put cable and phone bills in their kids name without telling them and end up not paying the bill. You could do your kids a solid by building their credit by adding them to your card but not telling them.

Of course that assumes you keep your financial house in order.

Exactly, it's probably standard practice for white folks up on financials. There were a handful of white girls talmbout their credit card when I was in high school, and I know them bytches didn't apply on their own.

When I started working at a credit union, I learned a lot of basic shyt from them white folks and how they manage their money. That’s how I switched all my spending to my credit cards and set up multiple savings accounts to split my paycheck

I’m still trying to learn the perks of the plat reading everyone’s experience because I’m not sold on it just yet for that annual fee. shyt, I’m still learning this gold out too. Next year I will make that change. I know I do travel a lot though. But don’t see myself chilling in any lounges at the airport unless I’m on a long ass layover which more than likely take a Uber depending on the city and look around.

if your averaging 4 round trips per year (thats 8 flights) for me, with the value I place on the platinum card perks its defiantly worth it.

lounge access (especially if your home airport has a centurion lounge) is worth it alone to me. A decent meal, drinks, comfortable spot to relax.

+ CLEAR, global entry/ pre check, Plus status at Hilton/Marriot. I look at the platinum card as an inexpensive way to have an overall much better travel experience year round. thats why I have it. The uber credits, airline credit and several other things are icing on the cake helping me get more out of the annual fee.

You buy all your airline tickets from the Amex portal? I’m gonna make the plat move…. Do I have to start my spending cost all over as well or it starts me off automatically at a higher value than my gold?

You get 5x points booking through the amex portal or directly through the airlines website

Some of them directly through delta, some through Amex. Depends on if I’m using points, miles. Either way you get 5x points on flight purchases with platinum
