Man I got a package for me to upgrade to Platinum.....I still got plain Jane green....should I get one of these.....
Is this an online thing? I do a lot of traveling and I am interested in getting this service, where can I apply for this? I hate long lines, they were ridiculous during the stimulus checks era with everyone flying, since unemployment have stopped a bit and the checks have slowed down, it seems like the airport/TSA has simmered down but I still have to be in lines with slow moving ass peopleGlobal Entry includes Precheck- I staved off getting it for the longest because I was misinformed about fees (thought $100/year and some other things) but $15 more for 6 years is def worth it!
That’s how you unlock the true power of the Amex ecosystemI wasn't aware you could hold both at the same time.
It is, me and wife have to head to Austin for our appointment 2.5 hours away. Gives us an excuse to make a weekend out of it though and got 5x on the hotel I booked. Winning.I only didn’t get Global because they said it’s hard to get appointments. Definitely going to get it though. I’m still not convinced about Clear
I started in April and between platinum and gold we’ve run about $60k through both and between hotels and gas points from the 7000 mile road trip we’ve taken we got about $5k of that back through point manipulation. Just following the best bang for the buck Amex presents on both cards and we eat out a lot. I bring in about $160k by myself so your results might vary. Can someone say how much money they make on rewards yearly, after expenses (annual fees, etc.)?
Card only makes sense if your intentional about getting the travel benefits often. If that’s not you they have way better programs for youI don’t know if I’d travel enough to justify the fee for the platinum.
But it's it made of metalAnyone paying attention to the moves Capital 1 is making? They coming for Amex throat with the Venture X
It is, actually. It “looks” better than the chase cards but not as good as the Amex which is instantly recognizableBut it's it made of metal

People move so slow, but yea where can I get this service and avoid all of this?
I’ve heard their lounges will be on par to compare with Centurion especially with the crowding and wait time.Anyone paying attention to the moves Capital 1 is making? They coming for Amex throat with the Venture X
Wife has a regular venture so we will probably upgrade that when it’s time, we aren’t using it atm. They only have 1 lounge in DFW with the next lounges coming to NY and DC. It will probably be 2023 before we make that move but those perks look really good and will only expand. I have a quicksilver MC & Visa and haven’t used them at all this year I just keep them for credit age, you can still get in the new lounge with a plain venture card so it’s just a wait and see if they add a lounge to IAH which is when we will pull the trigger
Capital One is launching its first-ever premium travel credit card, Venture X - The Points Guy
Our very next move is to complete the chase trinity and go after the reserve since we have a preferred and unlimited already (we just don’t use them shyts either because Amex got all our money and attention right now).
I use centurion lounge at JFK and LGA all the time and over never had to weight plus AMEX is getting rid of the free additional guests next year.I’ve heard their lounges will be on par to compare with Centurion especially with the crowding and wait time.

they can say their lounges will be on par with centurion but it takes YEARS to build a lounge network and ill be suprised if they can match amex. AMEX is the goat of customer service.
I don’t know about “shyts on” centurion lounge in JFK has a speakeasy bar and is very nice and comfortable.Follow the link breh, Cap 1 lounge already shyts on any Centurion domestic lounge right now. Their only problem is they have just the 1 (2 additional being built as I type this). They keep the exact same quality and get into major hubs they will drive competition for Amex which is a great thing since I’ve heard some of the Centurion lounges been slipping in these streets
it also gives us an alternative if the centurion lounge (which lets face it, it’s baller status no matter what people say) is overcrowded which is becoming a problem with Amex loosening up the purse strings to get more users into the company. Luckily the $75k spend I’m about to hit lasts 2 years so I can bring my babies in for free on the next flights we are taking in 2022/23. We’ve already booked 3 vacations next year paid for, looking for #4/5 to be international with a bet things are back to normal by next winter.
Disney World already ran my pockets for $13,000 this upcoming September
That’s why we aren’t applying next week when they open apps. It’s pointless as I’m 4 hours south and none of my flights get routed through dfw ever. For the Europe flights we get routed through Chicago or Toronto and for Japan we get routed through LAX or Seattle so I wouldn’t be able to use it until at least 2023.I don’t know about “shyts on” centurion lounge in JFK has a speakeasy bar and is very nice and comfortable.
mad far as crowds that’s about to change with the new guest policy.
I would care about this lounge network when they get theirs numbers up. It’s worthless to me if not at JFK, LGA, LAX. And even heathrow has a centurion lounge. I’ll pay attention to this when the lounge network is comparable to AMEX
