there is technically a limit but it's high and ever-changing
you don't have a normal credit limit like other cards
you can keep spending until they stop you

You can check your spending power in the Amex app in the statements section.

if you press it more once you increase your chances of getting a financial review
it's also not the same as a credit limit

He said that too but he said I will have to put a price for me to get my spending power. Would this affect my spending power if I put a low figure?

no it's just a feature that you can use to see if a purchase or dollar amount would go through the card
When you first get your card though, you have a limit and it’s low. It takes time to adjust to see how much you spend within the first couple of months or whatever. After that though, your spending limit gets higher and higher.

From what I heard (not sure how true it is) the Amex algorithm will take your highest balance over a six month period that you were able to pay back and multiply it by 3 and that is "limit". So it will adjust every half year. For example if your highest balance was 10,000 then your Amex "limit" will be 30,000.

the welcome offer looks real lightweight. if there's any chase cards available to you i'd go for the offer on one of those first. if you wanna get this card just for normal usage and not the offer ion think it's worth it.

Amex Gang, I applied for the Gold Card and Platinum Card yesterday morning (around 5 am), got approved, and FEDEX delivered them this morning…..24 hours later 
I opened the thick envelope that came with the Gold card
Then opened the platinum package that looked like a birthday gift

I have very big purchases coming up soon (which I have the money in full) so I am thinking about getting the platinum 
The Gold has been great for me. Can't wait to pull out the platinum to pay for a mcchicken and a small fry though

as a platinum card holder it’s not many spend categories I use that card for. Card is the goat for the perks and ain’t the card to use for the points most of the time
