been out the country for 4 months and just got back to my AmEx Plat 
time to run it up, get my intro offer points and get rid of the Delta Plat. For those that have done it, do you recommend downgrading or straight up canceling the card?

I’m doing a solo trip soon and want to get some extra benefits
a lot of people are thinking a refresh is coming next year and it'll make the annual fee higher
so you could at least try out the current features before it adds new ones
I think the Capital One Venture beats the Platinum in terms of bang for the buck from what I heard.I might cop the Amex platinum

Ok bet. I’m so frugal I don’t want to pay the annual fee but it seems like I’ll reap the benefits easily.
My friend has one too. But he’s army so the annual fee is waived.

I'm with you though I was hesitant to pay the annual fee this year but i did the math and found out that even though it's steep I still use enough of the benefits to justify it
there's a calculator you could use to see if it would make sense to you

I’m dumb. My interview for global entry is on Tuesday so I wouldn’t even be able to get the benefit. I should have waited.
