On the other hand:Well he hasnt played a game yet, but already
-extreme hype
-busted shot mechanics
-soft-spoken/doesnt appear to be an alpha
-pass-first pg when the league is trending toward the opposite
-got outplayed twice and sent home in the tournament by his biggest rival
-doesn't come off like a star
-the likely possibility of Lavar being a distraction/creating team issues
all red flags that could potentially lead to bust status
- 6'6" point guard
- He is pass first, and the Lakers were almost dead last in assists last year, they need someone to run the offense
- Likes to get out in transition and make things happen
- Funny shot mechanics but is a great spot up shooter and shot 41% from 3 and 73% from two. Granted, we haven't seen ANY midrange game from him yet
- Isn't going to clash with Ingram's development
- Can play next to a good FA signing
- Doesn't come off like a star but he's the hometown hero and has his own shoe
He'll be a 14/5/7 player by the end of next year. He's not going to be the end all be all by any means but...that's a good start to me.
