Go after the white collar criminals that are the root cause of the crime. The problem is being “tough” on crime looks better politically than actually solving crime. A bunch of black men in handcuffs on the 6pm news provides the image needed to give the perception that you’re actually making progress without ever actually addressing the problem.

You want to "end crime" in our communities, provide jobs and business opportunities and that shyt would end overnight.

Look at the ethnic cacs in the 20th century. In the first half of the century, Jews; Italians, and Irish were in streets shooting it out(Valentine's Day Massacre, Bugsy Siegel getting clapped, etc), but that shyt started to stop once they became "white" and got access to good paying jobs/cheap homes(GI Bill, New Deal FHA loans).

Crime is a touchy issue in our community. We want criminals off the streets. But not in jail. We want the police to do their job. But don’t arrest anybody.

Its a touchy issue because the criminals live in someone's house within the community.. And the parents don't even know what to do with the kid.. How the fck can anyone who don't even know how to handle their own child, set high expectations for someone else to handle them?
