It’s crazy how MTV/BET used to be one of the top channels I would watch back in my teens and early 20’s, now that shyt is trash

I mean it depends on who you're talking about. The Migos crowd, sure, YouTube is ondemand access. But there's also a TON of older ppl who still love music but don't know how to use YouTube or their smart phone in general.Plus music countdowns still exist on the radio so a video countdown still has it's place.Ur not gonna tell me LESS ppl would watch that than who would watch a random repeat of the Wayans Bros. Nah.If BET brought music back, specifically R&B music show, I guarantee you ppl would start liking R&B again.

Stop it dude with that basic cable crap. There are multiple channels still showing music videos from mtv, bet and vh1. Don't be a cheap b*stard, get digital cable or dish if you want all that.

These three networks have all the older content on their other channels. There is bet jams, bet soul, bet her, bet island, vh1 classic, mtv classic etc... upgrade to the highest level you six certs/figures mofukkers and stop relying on basic cable trash.

I shytcanned them hoes two years ago and started rockin with AT&T cable.

Everything was FINE until this February, when these clowns decided to drop NFL Red Zone from their subscriptions.

Like, that's the main reason we GOT cable.

So I had to shytcan them, as well.

So now I'm a free agent....been lookin into Sling this week....

I basically still have Direct TV cause I'm a sports fiend. I also use reddit streams for games as well. I'm looking into Playstation Vue which a friend of mine has. Might ditch Direct for Vue if it looks good. Its way cheaper for starters

I used to feast off those "I Love the ..." series on VH1.
It's crazy though, because sitting around watching MTV all day looking for that "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down" video is one of the earliest vivid memories that I have. I could look that shyt up in like .3 seconds on Youtube.

At the end of day most of the younger kids watch music videos on Tube sites. Also reality shows are dirt cheap so they can churn them out nonstop. BET in particular had some very solid scripted shows that they just didn't maintain so now they fill air with reruns. What they should is play the Video Soul archives from the 80s and 90s.

There's a small store that I go into and they always have on MTV and it seems like, no matter what time of the day it is, they're always playing a show that's hosted by a Mr. Pibb version of Woody Harrelson and they provide commentary while watching "funny" videos. Corniest shyt that I've ever seen.

Not a fan of him, now, but, I remember having the house to myself for the first time ALL SUMMER watching My Name Is and American Badass on TRL everyday.

I remember those beach concerts.
