I still believe there's a place for music videos on tv.

Every thi g doesnt have to live on YouTube
YouTube is way more convenient than watching music-related content on MTV/BET/VH1/FUSE

Nah. It had it's run. Mtv ditched it even before YouTube popped off.

What took over were the American Idol and the Voice. Singing and talent competitions. That's where the music tv market went.
Naw we talked about this in another Viacom/MTV related thread. Besides music videos, a lot the music-related shows that MTV/BET/VH1/FUSE used to air are have been replaced by shows on popular music youtube channels.

These channels were washed about 7-8 years ago truthfully. To keep it 100, the majority of cable/satellite channels are :flabbynsick:

I'm on the verge of getting rid of Direct TV my damn self

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
What are they suppose to be showing?

Exactly.

Both Channels were originally geared towards music videos which is why they thrived in the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's.

Then the internet, smartphones and social media changed the platform which consumers consume content.

These my go to channels for when I go to sleep at night.

I just skim to whatever of the 3 is showing Martin, Jaime Foxx, or the Fresh Prince(In that order) and I turn to that channel at bedtime:manny:

I appreciate it for what it is. The familiarity is mad comforting, like tucking a grown man in:pachaha:
Lol, that’s exactly how I use it. I hit up fresh prince, Martin or living single. Between those king of queens or two and half men, sportscenter, nlf game day prime, or inside the nba, I’m set year round lol

.

I mean it depends on who you're talking about. The Migos crowd, sure, YouTube is ondemand access. But there's also a TON of older ppl who still love music but don't know how to use YouTube or their smart phone in general.

Plus music countdowns still exist on the radio so a video countdown still has it's place.

Ur not gonna tell me LESS ppl would watch that than who would watch a random repeat of the Wayans Bros. Nah.

If BET brought music back, specifically R&B music show, I guarantee you ppl would start liking R&B again.

Do the EXACT same thing every night. Whichever one has the better episode playing, I'll keep it on there. I bet a lot of people do this, and it works for them, that's why they've been doing this. They need to put Wayans Bros. back in rotation too tho.

Yup!

They need to throw "In Living Color" in there, too...

I shytcanned them hoes two years ago and started rockin with AT&T cable.

Everything was FINE until this February, when these clowns decided to drop NFL Red Zone from their subscriptions. :what::martin:

Like, that's the main reason we GOT cable. :beli:

So I had to shytcan them, as well.

So now I'm a free agent....been lookin into Sling this week....
