Absolutely, but we aren't allowing employers to, we are forcing them to/requiring it by law.
My question is why should employers be liable for healthcare cost?
That's your question for everything. Nobody has time for that.

That's the problem, we just accept the shifting of responsibility/liability in this country without question as long as we arent paying or get to pay less.

I just told you why. Some things simply need to be FORCED. Just like you have to FORCE people to pay for roads, schools, police, etc. If you gave people a choice into paying taxes, most people would opt out and it would be the fukking wild west out here.

Huge corporations provide insurance to their employees. They certainly wouldn't be opposed to saving 3 to 7 thousand a year on each employee.
