shyt is crazy. They literally can't account for billions of dollars, and nothing is ever done about it. None of our jobs would be able to get away with anything close to this. And we just continue to increase the defense budget.

Yeah Bernie might want to expand on that answer real quick. Musk might be willing to cut budget for Pentagon but not so it can redistributed to the middle class. Musk probably wants the trump tax cuts for the 1% to be even bigger using that money.
Bernie is basically calling Musk a hypocrite. He is also pointing out the immense volume of fraud that takes place at such high levels of corporate/military intertwining.

One thing that I can definitely say is a waste are the housing offices in foreigner countries. The service member does 90% of the leg work, and they literally just scrutinize your forms and add extra steps to something that shouldn't even be complicated. The most they'll do is call the housing agency to ensure that the property is available, or slip a home listing into a [mostly] unorganized binder.
Another one is the price of parts. Why do we pay $500 for a 1000-pack of screws or o-rings when those same shíts cost $75 at Lowes
