I HATE the idea some of you are floating around about a 'Battle for the Cowl' and giving it to dikk Grayson or whatever. That would be a movie you'd have to build to, IMO, and have established all of the Bat-characters with a few movies already. A story like that would be a good time for casting a new Bruce Wayne/Batman though. Have Nightwing takeover, then a movie or two later Bruce (new actor) comes back and becomes Batman again. You'd have that one or two movie break between actors so it wouldn't be so jarring.
But the DC movie universe is still fairly fresh and unexplored, so I say suck it up, recast and keep it moving. Won't be the first time it's been done for this character. People are used to it.

Yeah, I don't get it. Is it WB/DC that's making him unhappy or is he the problem and at a bad place in his life? If he leaves before doing a solo movie, I think he's going to regret it years from now.
At the idea of batman beyond, the character still has miles as an adult yet, so many stories and villains yet to explore. We don't need batman being some lame azz emo millennial too. Can just see it now with the character being played by scorch trials
