Their division is an underrated aspect of their success. The AFC East was the worst division in football during their time together. It essentially gave them five wins every season and an easy path to a first round bye.

Truly great QBs can also cover up team holes. That's why you could pencil in 10+ wins just about every year for Brady, Manning, Rodgers and Wilson.

You're right. QBs don't do it all alone but they make it a lot easier for a team to win. Teams with sustained success by and large have great QBs.
The AFC EAST WAS NOT the worst division on football, thats objectively false. It just didn't give any great QBs.

Brady would have won 3 rings with the Lions :hubie:

Brady would have won multiple rings with most franchises.

People forget that a lot of teams every year waste good rosters on bad QB play. Look at the Broncos this year, the 2009-2010 Jets, the 2004-2010 Cardinals with prime Fitzgerald, look at the 2000s Vikings, the 2000s Ravens with those defenses, the 2000s Dolphins with multiple HOFers on defenses, the 2000s Bills with Eric Moulds and Lee Evans and Travis Henry, then later CJ Spiller and Stevie Johnson, etc

The three other teams in the division had a combined 11 playoff appearances over 19 seasons.

The Bills didn't make the playoffs until 2017.

The fukking Jets were the second best franchise in that division. :dead:

Find me another division with those kinds of numbers.

Afc south wasn't any better, for starters.

Afc west was only marginally better if you exclude the Chiefs (the same way you excluded the Patriots) - the raiders made the playoffs 2x since 2002, Denver had a drought after 2005 until Tebow came In 2010, and they haven't been there since 2015. The chargers have been to the playoffs 2x since 2008.

In the NFC North, if you exclude the Packers, the Lions, bears, and vikings combined playoff appearances aren't that high - 16 times total

If that's not enough:

AFC South had 15 playoff appearances if you take out the Colts. AFC West had 18 playoff appearances without the Chiefs.

None of those divisions compare to 11 playoff appearances. Yes, the AFC East was the worst division in football over that time. Nothing you've shown refutes that.

Some of those are years like the last two where the Dolphins missed out on tiebreaker.

Again, real ones that aren't biased in some way (either Brady haters or Pats fans that don't want to believe the team is going nowhere) BEEN KNEW about Belichick.

People play dumb but the facts are the facts. Belichick without Brady is just another coach.

Even without the GM duties. Belichick still makes questionable decisions. Benching players for speaking out against him, hiring yes men to his coaching staff, etc. Even his situational football has been exposed
