As to why I couldn't travel with a girlfriend:

I don't want to be restricted, if I go with a girlfriend then its no longer about my experience but about "our" experience. Since I don't make reservations and go where the wind takes me, this will be a no go as well, she'd probably expect us to have reservations and a set plan, which is not exactly what I do when travelling. I have to deal with an attitude that might be good or bad, dude I'm in my early 20's travelling by myself just because of impulse. I don't have time to deal with someone else's personality that hasn't been there since day 1. On top of that there's schedules, she may not have the same days off, or may want to do something other than travel.

This isn't an excuse, its an explanation.

I don't need to travel with someone because from what I'm getting from the older people that are around me at times are "you don't need a girlfriend, focus on yourself right now). I can travel with one ofc nothing is impossible, but I don't want that and you know if she aint going on the trip feelings are going to be hurt. Exactly and there's no rush. When the time is right then the time is right, but the way things are working I don't see that happening. Why not be able to travel the world, just for the sake of being tied down. Some people are meant to be free

Idk I'm 23. If you have kids and are married unless your in the military then you're really not travelling. But maybe you are, idk every couple in the world, regardless it's not the path I've been given nor is it the one I want. He's not prescribing anything he's just being encouraging.
