it doesnt matter who traded bars with who. the bottom line is that rappers know what rappers arent to be f**ked with. nas & prodigy were never to strike fear in another rapper on some battle chit. guys like the lox, camron, dmx, etc are. i saw redman & big l mentioned in here. add them to the list as well. like art barr said, those were probably the main 2 rappers that you just didnt want it with in the mid-90s.

Na, Uh-Huh for one wasn't heard until Kiss' album came out, and by that time the beef with Sigel had already started. And Kiss only started going at Sigel's head (i.e. "I ate too many Beanie Macs" line on Uh-Huh) after the Put Ya Hands Up diss. Up until Sigel dissed him, Jay was the target.

Just about everyone unanimously agreed that Jada was gonna spank 50 without even hearing Jada's response yet.

Say what u want about kiss but he's one of the few cats that nikkas feared sparring with on that level lyrically, Eminem during the Renegade era might have been another. I think Jay would indeed be scared to trade bars with Jada. As cocky as Jay Z tries to make himself look he really seems insecure and unsure of himself. That's probably the reason why he constantly has to remind us why he's so great and why we should love him

Makes sense. Based on that, it was probably the 357 freestyle first. I remember people talking about Jada saying he fathered Philly rappers, I never knew where that shyt originated from though.

Actually beans responded in an interview saying somethin to the effect of "nah philly ain't bite jada, i AM philly". Don't know the exact quote. After that i dunno what happened but beanie dropped that put ya hands up freestyle dis..
