Battlefield 2042 isnt for me, lack of weapons and specialist still bug me. Honestly since MW2 I have been :hubie:with 2042.
I dont understand why would you give the ability to get up to high or hard to reach places and camp and not have a weapon like the arty strike from BF3 or Mortars from BF4. Game left too much meat on the bone for a goofy as premise. Also the destruction in here is non existant and the maps have no character even with weather effects.

BF took a weird trend after BF3 and BF4 where DICE thinks less guns and gadgets is actually better for the game.

Idk about the lack of specialists being a problem, the whole concept for specialists was poorly executed. Personally they need to bush the whole specialist system and put all their gadgets behind the traditional class structure. What we're getting in the next couple weeks is a half way point between the current Specialist set up and the traditional class set up.

Edit - Officially announced by DICE/EA:

TLDR: Another big update with ~100 changes. Mainly focusing on making the game a smoother experience. New Manifest looks good.

Thinking about how weak the sound is in this just keeps me from turning it back on sometimes.

Especially considering BF was known for its sound design.

@CW99

Yeah, BF4 had tons of guns and customization options which set it apart from its competition.

They should focus and build on BF and not try to be like their competition. That is how you become the secondary option instead of an option that offers a novel experience.

Since they improved the game I started today, shyt is cool, TDM is ass though, way to easy to get spawn killed. I like it for what it is, rush, conquest, portal are cool, MW2 is better for small teams and then the war zone mode.

Only issue is the sound design, BF1 made it seem you were on the battlefield, this game still has that but it seems like it's been turned down; literally.

Real question. Have y’all ever heard anyone who played battlefield say the new iterations of this franchise are better than 3 and 4? I haven’t. Maybe I’m :flabbynsick:

It seems like dice is hell bent on doing everything but give the fans what they want :snoop: It can’t be that hard to recreate what made those games good.

BFV looks next gen compared to BF2042

I fukkin mourn BFV everyday damn day. I don't know about everyone else, but it felt damn near polished during launch in my opinion, other than a some issues here and there. If they just managed to get the stream on content down, it would have been lit. Having the Eastern front would have been piff. The immersion was on point, and that's a bif part of the game for me to enjoy it. When playing 2042, the weak sound of the guns mixed with the lack of recoil fukks up up the flow big time.

This hits the nail on the head.

Only thing I hate about this game is the aim is absolutely atrocious on console, when playing against PC players, unless you get the drop your going to die, A LOT.
