Should I buy this or what? Heard many bad takes on it when it first came out.

Has it been patched.

It still needs work imo, but they're slowly getting to where they should've been.

The next season is next week and it should have another big update, and there's free trials and Game Pass in December.

New season is dope. Game feels smooth. Ping and vehicle system was reworked. New map reminds me of Death Stranding.

Idk if these guys can fukk with MW2, that game is on an entirely different level imo, but the game is way better than BFV and BF1 at this point.

Only bad thing at this point is when the game rotates to one of the trash maps like Hourglass and Breakaway that still need to be reworked.

Never was a fan of BF1 and BFV. They cut back on content from BF4 in exchange for gimmicks, and made the game far more casual. BFV was a disaster like BF2042 too (and BF4, but they turned that around in a year).

None of these games hold up to BF3 and BF4, which is the bar for me.

Nothing confirmed tho. They might just save it for the next BF game.

It already seems like they downsized their plans for Portal despite so much that was data mined for it.

The problem with BFV was the lack of content and it being buggy at launch.

Have you played BFV recently? From the building, movement system, how the guns handle, the destruction, the team airstrikes/perks, the map design, etc... All of that is many times better than BF2042.

I own BF2042 and have only put a max total of 2 hours into the game. I'd rather continue playing BFV when I get the chance.
