the up in the sky it's a bird it's a plane joints? true

I was moreso talking gotham city's overall aesthetic, as opposed to storytelling cues but yeah. I had no idea about the music tho.

Yeah Bruce Timm and Paul Dini both said that they got their aesthetic and vibe from the old superman cartoons..hence the art deco look, the blimps, the cars, all of it. He wanted to make a batman cartoon that was in the vein of that show and it just so happened to coincide with the movie but they'd been working on it since at least 89 or 90 I think

:mjlol:

U an idiot breh.
:mjlol:You're stanning for a half assed Batman movie. What makes 89 Batman so great? All you said was it made more money. So what:childplease:Tim Burton fukked up and made Gotham look like something out of a Stanley Kubrick film. Script was stupid af. He even fukked up and got an R rating, so 80's babies like myself that grew up on the Batman tv show couldn't even watch it or enjoy it. Batman Returns fixed all that mess. Only thing good about that movie was the Joker.

:umad:No one has given a shyt about 89 Batman since the 90's.

don't you think that kevin conroy kind of molded his performance after keaton's though? just a bit? his batman voice was a bit "raspy" wasn't it?

prior to keaton i don't recall batman ever sounding like that. the older cartoons had batman and all the other superheroes sounding like a general mills spokespersons.

keaton was the one to give batman that deep tone.

Where many murders occur
You 90s babies just don't know. Batman took over the summer of 89. Kareem's last game? Nope. cubs in 1st place? Nope. Debbie Gibson and Tiffany thoting it up for cacs to masturbate to? :camby: FOH. BATMAN WAS the summer of 89 much more than TDK was the summer of 08. I Kissed a Girl was the Summer of 08, TBQH. TDK was 2nd.

All my lil homies went to see Batman like 20x each. Erry day "let's go see Batman!" or they come over after seeing Batman yet again. I only went once, I hated it, I'm a Superman stan. But that doesn't change the fact that Batman owned the entire world in 1989. Not even the fall of the Berlin Wall was bigger, tbf.

If you don't remember 1989, then STFU and GTFO. You can't opine on this unless you've lived both years. Blockbusters in the 80s destroy any "blockbusters" that have come since. Just a whole bigger magnitude that you lil 90s babies will never comprehend. So fukk all yall :manny:

@Kill Dat Noize Can you add a poll to this thread asking people to vote for the best batman movie. A consensus could help settle this debate.

:comeon:Unless you scared TDK will win by a landslide.

I have to say tho, I don't condone this movie franchise in no way shape or form.

It's a fakkit ass movie, if I gotta keep it 360.

You got a trillionaire whitey fakkit, doing overtime by imposing his version of justice, unsolicited, on the entire city, because some dewd got his parents got 3 decades ago. Motherfukker has estates, buildings, cars, whores and a fukkin butler yet he STILL has to go out at night and save people from GRATE EVILZ.

Subliminal message: ain't nobody can save you but the rich handsome privileged whitey co-opting with the po po in a latex suit.

Get.

Tha.

fukk.

Outside.

Of.

Here.

Batman 89 has aged horrendously. The movie is EXTREMELY dated.

New generations will watch the nolan films and burtons will be laughed at for all the corny 80s period music and style.

Nostalgia is clouding your judgement heavily.

of course nostalgia plays a part, how could it not? if i had seen batman 89 for the first time as an ADULT then yes it is very possible that i might have different feelings towards it.

but when it comes to future generations how many people do you really think are gonna first discover this movie as an adult??? i'd say not many. i'd say if you have a kid that loves batman then chances are they will end up being exposed to this movie in one way or another by the time they are 5-6 years old. no later. and guess what... they're not gonna give a shyt about the prince music. they're gonna be in awe just like we all were. in awe of the gadgets, the batmobile, the costume, the music... all of it.

whereas dark knight may very well put them to sleep.

You're so stupid breh. Like - beyond conceivable measures.

Every fukkin movie, from every fukkin decade, looks dated the next decade. Even the Nolan shyt you jack off to will look (it does to me right now) corny as all fukk.

Pre-nostalgia is clouding your dumb ass.
