Charles doesn't give a solitary fukk about fans' ability to afford the product. This is just another in a long line of examples of him saying what he knows a certain segment of the fanbase wants to hear. Same as his comments about load management before last season. It's low hanging fruit. Get the blue collar middle class fan mad at the "diva" millionaire players. Meanwhile Chuck is making millions to clown with his boys a couple nights a week and not watch games:mjlol:

Yall think the NFL don’t have the same problems? What NFL players are out there being the voice of the league talking like that? Doesnt matter if it’s legit. Hes bad for business
I think the NFL doesn't have a problem with popularity though. I see your perspective, I also think his comments about paywalling games is definitely truth about growing the game though. you really shouldn't price people out like that.

I wish he would have left the players out of it, but I also don't think the quote is as bad as the headline.

That’s my thing. Stop blaming the players when it’s the owners who have the money to pay them.

It’s not bad for business because he’s saying everything that the consumer is thinking

extra paywalls when RSNs are collapsing isn’t a Barkley caused issue ,that’s a nba issue

NFL is the is most popular sport here by far

They only have to sell out 8 dates

All your local team games are available on Free TV

Nobody on the NFL is saying that because it’s king and the people who are affected is smaller than the potential NBA fans affected .

For a lot of NBA fans If you didn’t have cable you couldn’t watch your team …now if you have cable you still may not be able to see your team play

The NFL experience is MUCH worse than the NBA one for the fans, especially at games. Yet influencers for the league aren't saying what Chuck is saying.

it was 2009, I take back what I said about the match up being good since the Kings technically were trash back then, but the game still ended up being good

:lolbron:

but it as a Kings/Lakers game in Sac
ah that’s dope man. Like you said, that was an experience you still remember 14 years ago due to the affordability of the seats.

Appreciate you for sharing

@UpAndComing

Exactly @Paper Boi nailed it. The NFL is like a religion in the states. And there’s only 17 games with the players going all out weekly literally almost killing themselves which sadly makes for a very entertaining product.

The league having no guaranteed contracts also helps from a fan point of view because guys are gonna always have to compete for their jobs/spots because another young got got drafted is coming for it.

NBA players get their 200 million dollar contracts and fukk off. Look at Bradley Beal for example. Brandon Ingram is asking for 200 million on his next extension and might get it and when he does, he’ll fukk off and phone it in too. It’s too many players like this in the NBA and I think it’s gonna hurt the league in the long run. That 72 billion dollar tv contract got the league gassed

I’m sorry this gon sound bad, but dudes like Brandon Ingram getting 200 million dollar contracts is a TERRIBLE look and will turn fans away and make them realize they’re spending too much money

Optics wise - lebron making 200 mil a year looks a lot better than Ingram making 50. NBA gotta figure something out

I think a larger portion of bread needs to go to retired players

Don't watch the NFL like that. Why would pricing out the fans be bad for the NBA, but not for the NFL?

Because one product is worst than the other. And the other has 17 games instead of 82:mjlol:

Charles is 100% correct most of the time when bashing the league. Yall would rather him stay quiet while the sport is ruined? Well of course yall would. Because most of yalls argument is that its great because it still makes alot of money. Sorry, nba peaked and the ratings have been showing that.
