Don't watch the NFL like that. Why would pricing out the fans be bad for the NBA, but not for the NFL?
It's bad for both. It's bad overall. I was in a thread a few weeks ago talking about the Chris Brown show. shyt is like $400 and $500 for some regular ass seats. Not even the premium shyts that's on in close to the floor.

Remember we were having a discussion about the prices of some of these PPV fights. I paid $97 for the Davis/Martin card and about to pay about $85 for the Crawford/Madrimov card.

All of these stadium/arena events are getting outta hand with the pricing. shyt doesn't make any sense.

I think he's just saying the NFL has so much popularity that it's basically untouchable, whereas the NBA could lose a lot of meaningful support that it needs.

NFL can basically say fukk you to a large chunk of their audience and still be king.

@UpAndComing

Exactly @Paper Boi nailed it. The NFL is like a religion in the states. And there’s only 17 games with the players going all out weekly literally almost killing themselves which sadly makes for a very entertaining product.

The league having no guaranteed contracts also helps from a fan point of view because guys are gonna always have to compete for their jobs/spots because another young got got drafted is coming for it.

NBA players get their 200 million dollar contracts and fukk off. Look at Bradley Beal for example. Brandon Ingram is asking for 200 million on his next extension and might get it and when he does, he’ll fukk off and phone it in too. It’s too many players like this in the NBA and I think it’s gonna hurt the league in the long run. That 72 billion dollar tv contract got the league gassed

for my 18th birthday I went to a good NBA game with good seats. like 5-10 rows back courtside at like $150 per seat with my buddy. it was kind of a expensive for an 18 year old, but not like impossible and it was for my birthday so whatever. same tickets now cost like 3x and someone that age, who isn't either making serious bank (which is unlikely at 18) or like coming from money isn't gonna be able to do that.

that was an unforgettable experience that only made me a bigger NBA fan, a lot of people getting priced out of that now.

Facts, it can get real bad for Boxing especially if it's not a stacked card and you are paying for 1 main event fight with 5 undercards who no one wants to see, which is rampant in today's Boxing
I could at least justify the Crawford/Madrimov price because it is stacked with star power on the undercards

I bullshyt you not. I went to a Hornets/Lakers playoff game at Smoothie King Arena back in 2011 and paid $70 for seats in the 100s section.

If I look up a game in the 100s now, I'm almost sure it's twice if not triple that price. And it's not like I can't do it. I can. But just knowing the prices going up like that makes me think about a simpler time.

yeah now I make much more money than I did then, but when I see the prices I'm really like do I really want to...

but I don't think you grow the game with people my age much, it's the 10-25 year olds that you want to get hooked.

and you're pricing a lot of them or their families out.

I get your point, but unfortunately I feel it's the case because its Black athletes are getting $100 mill contracts and somehow it makes them "hard to relate to" by the White American public, makes them uncomfortable. And you can't even say NFL are immune to complaining about Black men getting big contracts when they literally just did that with Lamar Jackson a year ago when he was looking for a new contract

Laker Games are 90% Cac/Asian, so unless you want that to be your core fanbase he's not completely wrong. I saw it in real time with the Raiders. In Oakland you could get decent tickets for ~$100 and yeah the stadium didn't sell out but you had a diverse crowd more representative of the city. In Vegas it's $300 to get in the door and many fans can't even go anymore. What a shame
