I had a restraining order against an ex. It did nothing. He ended up breaking into my house. The cop put a warrant out for his arrest, but they wouldn’t actually go pick him up. They said if he gets stopped for speeding, or jumping a turnstile etc, and his name get ran, they’ll see the warrant, and then he’ll be arrested. This man is literally breaking into my house, and I have to wait to see IF he slips up? Crimes against women aren’t taken seriously. Especially black women.

I finally let some of my wild card male relatives know what was going on. I really try to avoid bringing them into certain situations. But they paid him a visit, and he hasn’t bothered me since.

I believe that individuals subject to a restraining order should be required to wear a GPS tracker for at least a few months, and if they come near their victim, the police should be alerted automatically.

Restraining orders should most def be treated like house arrest.

The case with the Uber driver being shot by that old white man still disturbs me. This is real life! Those two individuals both have family that are dealing with the aftermath of these kinds of tragedies. On that video you saw a living breathing person life get taken in seconds. How does that not have you in deep thoughts? It makes me feel guilty to ignore it.. while these people suffered.
