Well it's official now so I guess it's time to move forward. I think DLo will flourish in BK and I wish the best for him. I guess this FO is aiming at some bootleg Kobe/Shaq thing with George and perhaps Boogie. I hope Boogie knocks that nikka out when he freezes up in the clutch, ol bum ass nikka. :camby:

This shyt has me dying in real life. They ain't even on the team yet and you've already decided who you hate more out of the two and made a rivalry out of it. :mjlol:

Teams would take advantage knowing we have to salary dump

The Nets still got our 2nd pick in Russell. We still got taken advantage. Maybe if we kept Russell and he exploded looking like an all star next season then maybe we can get a better asset back that is better than the 27th pick for him. Even if Russell didn't explode he is still young and you could have gotten another team to take on Mozgov's contract if you included him a year later. There was just no need to rush this.

Teams would be more willing to take on a bad contract that's got 2 years left on it then one with 3.

They wouldn't want to knowing it'd help the Lakers get a top free agent, especially knowing that Magic wants to try and shed both contracts in order to get PG13 and Lebron.

Lets not act like the league doesn't throw a fukking fit whenever the Lakers pull off a great deal.

All people did was bytch and moan about the Mozgov and Deng contracts. All anybody was saying was how the contracts were so toxic no team would take them on. Then when it became evident that those contracts would prevent the Lakers from signing Paul George as a free agent people complained about how Mitch and Jim fukked us over again....

Magic and Pelinka got rid of a contract that everybody was swearing up and down couldn't be traded, got an upgrade at the 5 (on an expiring contract), AND got another draft pick, that they turned into two additional draft picks.

They gave up a D'Lo because they weren't high on him AND they had Lonzo on deck with the #2.

I understand people that were D'Lo fans being upset, but yall need to stop trying to spin this as a bad deal.
Breh it was a bad deal tho :why:. Some good did come out of it but it was an overzealous move. Why can we not be real about It? Sometimes the Lakers make bad moves. It is what it is.
You're trying to give credit for them moving a bad contract even though they had to attach a 2nd overall up with all-star upside just to move it. That's not impressive. That's not a dub. When people said it was an untradeable contract we all assumed so because none of us would've ever imagined having to attach one of our top 3 assets to move it being an option :why:. Like right now the deng contract is untradable to a reasonable person. But if an unreasonable person came around and was willing to trade Lonzo and deng for like Andre Drummond and like the 27th pick would that be a commendable move to you guys:huhldup: :why:?

We can move on but let's call a spade a spade. D'lo would've benefited greatly from the addition of Lonzo so the whole "we got Lonzo so we didn't need him" logic makes no sense. Why else did we test him out at the 2 last year (which was successful btw) if we just saw him has a pure pg? That combo was the very reason some fans were pumped about adding Lonzo. We don't have to be blind Lakers fans man. Even most non D'lo stans (barring the haters and Espn heads) can objectively say this was not a Great move. I'm done :hubie:. I've expended way too much energy on the topic but I feel like this whole "they traded an untradable contract away. Let's give them a cookie :blessed:" rhetoric is patently ridiculous given the price that was paid. I also find the notion that since we drafted Lonzo we can throw away a similar valuable player is absurd given the situation out franchise is in. We need all the assets we can possibly get. This was a flagrant waste of an asset and i blame both God. Jim for the contracts. Magic for the trade. Period. But that's it. No more ranting from me. Iver said my peace :hubie:.

Should be The Logo running the show :sadbron:

Why would a team devoid of assets like Brooklyn, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, etc give a damn about the Lakers signing a star? If they can get an asset or two in the deal they will take salary. Mosgov isn't even completely useless like Deng was last season.
