when's the next big update for this anyways?
I'm not sure if they plan on adding content beyond act 1 while it's in early access. so far updates have been breaking save compatibility, so it's hard to make real progress

Yeah. It's pretty much divinity 3 but with a baldurs gate theme.

There's a lot of improvements from 2 that make this feel like a much better game but it's super unfinished to the point where there's no point of playing this right now.

I'll give this a try then when it comes to consoles. The Divinity series is really good so I guess this can't be too bad.

Yeah, it's a good, natural advancement to divinity 2, and adds a lot of QoL things to make the game feel better and more cinematic.

It's definitely a good move to wait until it's done.

My only knock with the Divinity series overall is with how slow getting around can be. The characters move really slow and sluggish. Other than that I don't have anything bad to say about it.

So is this shyt basically just Divinity: Baldur's Gate?

Feels familiar if you're used to Divinity but the combat does have some differences since in Divinity you're using the AP system and spell cooldowns take multiple turns, whereas in BG you have completely different resources at your disposal based on your class and sub-class. Nothing that takes a long time to get used to tho. There's also dice rolling.

This.

the pace of combat just wasn’t for me and put that game down right after the ship prologue. I heard this game has a more brisk pace so I’ll be looking out for it
