Their loss.
Who was on the film reel?
Just watched this. I thought it was ok/good. I can actually see why some really liked it and others were underwhelmed. Cynthia Erivo definitely stole the show for me. It's like they didn't know what they had in her. Immediately after watching I went to search for her rendition of "This ol heart of mine". Then they release the soundtrack without her renditions. Later they release one with her renditions, but they miss the mark in how they compose it:
This pales in comparison to what the movie set up with her a cappella version
Seems like a huge missed opportunity to me. Coulda been a hit in 2018/2019.
Surprised there's not more chatter about this, especially on the coli. I feel pretty confident that it's MLK Jr. The movie takes place in 1969, Miles mentions that the tape was taken about a year or so ago and Billy Lee and Rose note that that he's dead. MLK was assassinated April 4, 1968. Plus someone talks about he should be able to screw who he wants to. We all know the FBI had been building a ton of files of King. Finally, I thought it was purposeful that they had Jeff Bridges hand the film to Cynthia and her burn it as it didn't matter. Thought it was kinda obvious it was MLK
@MartyMcFly @FlyRy since y'all loved it, I'm curious on your thoughts on who was on the reel
