First off I don't understand how a guaranteed blockbuster can ever get stuck in development hell..
Second, I'm sorry but the main reason why I defend Bay so much and why I will see any of his movies, is because of how much I loved the bad boys franchise and the rock, amageddon and a few other movies. So you cant tell me to be excited about a sequel of one of my favorite movies with a new director... I know yall hate bay, but he aint M night or the Wachowski brothers where they have one hit and the rest duds, to be honest I don't even see what yall hate about him, but whatever, that's yall problem :yeshrug:

However if they can atleast get Bruckheimer on board I MAY be ok with it.

I don't hate Bay at all breh, Im just kinda bored with his movies and his thing. And I don't think we have enough time to go into my issues with him which are probably less than most.

And as far as the guaranteed blockbuster thing, if it was guaranteed, it wouldn't have ben stuck in hell thats all I'm saying. Like hollywood is a business and it's all about doing what's going to get you money, bottom line. Bay was busy doing transformers, Will was busy doing his thing. For all we know, Will didn't want to do it or Michael didn't want to do it but they studio kept plugging along trying to get the script right. When you spend that much time on a script and revisions of the script and bring on new writers, that's development hell. I got a whole book on movies that would've been sure fire hits at the time that got stuck in development hell and never saw the light of day; it happens.

yea from that standpoint I can understand, but to say it isn't a gaurenteed hit is ridiculous...

But I will say if it never comes out I wouldn't care, cause 2 was enough and to be honest Martin hasn't been funny to me since the second one..

I don't think anyone said it wouldn't be a guaranteed hit but obviously the studios are privy to information we don't have. Development hell doesn't mean something won't be a hit, it just means that they can't get everything together whether it be a script or director or actors or even a budget.

It's obvious Will, Martin and Bay don't like the scripts that have been given to them for the project, it's been in development since 2009, so that's 6 years and several drafts. Bay is printing money with Transformers, Will is Will and Martin is doing different things for television. There schedules have been the issue but now I feel they aren't agreeing on the story. I knew David was off the project cause he had moved on to other movies. This is now the 3rd writer they are putting on this but he's also a director.

Unsure about the director change, I would rather Bay finish out the trilogy but he might not be on Sony's timetable. They are courting Will for right after "Suicide Squad" so they are hoping Joe cooks up the right script by the time. I still don't think this is a go yet. Will and Martin could both still say No cause Michael Bay isn't directing. Sony has yet to get them a screenplay to their liking. I like Joe though, and have enjoyed some of his movies. But for the Bad Boys world you need that Michael Bay fukkery for it to really work. At the very least I hope he's still producing if they decide to go on without him in the end.

Why aren't they worried about Martin's schedule? Its all about Will's schedule:francis::mjlol:
And until Will says he's IN, i'm not believing anything about BB3. They have been rumors about it for 10 years it seems and the only one who seems to say anything is Martin who wouldn't care what the script was as long as it was getting made:pachaha:

Will is Sony's cash cow and has worked with them on may projects. Of course they are doing this around his schedule. They have a small window to make a move before Will decides on his next movie. Will plate is never empty, he decided to take those years off, he's always getting offers year in and year out. Martin has sort of went out of the spotlight. He hasn't done a movie since Big Momma 3 which was 2011. He's slowly getting back out there on the standup and comedy scene and is even marketing his own apps. Of course the minute they say "Martin BB3 is ready" he's going jump at it.

But Will and Martin are the key to the puzzle working. You can't do a Bad Boys movie with just one of them or switching them. It has to be them two. They figured if Bay won't do it on their time, they will just get a new director. Bay's got several Transformers sequels coming up, Turtles sequels is also so Bay's plate is always full too. Maybe Sony is trying to get Bay's attention with this move. Maybe they trying to get all their attention saying "HEY GUYS, NO MORE STALLING, BB3 TIME". This is a sequel the fans have been waiting a decade for. Both movies grossed over 400 Million worldwide and many millions more on Home Video and Television rights. And this will probably be the last one as Will and Maritn are pushing 50's at this point.

The Martin schedule comment was sarcasm:skip:and I don't think Will wants to do this. I think he was done with the sequels to his old hits after MiB3. He didn't do ID4 II and he's probably not doing BB3. This is all wishful thinking on Martin's and Sony's part. Sony looking for anything to get out of their post email hack slump and Martin looking for work:manny:

Will didn't do "Independence Day" cause the director disrespected him saying he was "To Big now" for the movie them tried to come crying back after the fact saying "We wrote two scripts, one with Will and one without". That's disrespectful in itself. "Bad Boys" is an easy Blockbuster for him to do and he should of done it years ago but he took like four years off. Now his offers are even more through the roof. "Suicide Squad" is looking better than I expected based on some of the filming leaks. I actually think Will should of been in "Independence Day 2" cause that would of been so Epic beyond belief.

Would of done 1 Billion worldwide easy. I understood why he did "MIB 3", that's a global blockbuster. If there's one last sequel to check off Will list, it's "Bad Boys". But the story got to be right. But Will has hand some under performers in the last few years. His NFL movie "Concussion" is a drama so we will have to see how that does. "Suicide Squad" should be a hit now that Joker and Batman are going in it to. So I think this is the perfect time for Will to knock out Bad Boys 3, it could drop Summer 2017 or 2018.
