not sure what your last sentence is trying to say.

and I did not say that, i said that there are other origins, which i quoted what i said. but again you ignored and made up your own argument. Have fun the rest of the night trying to tempt me to argue with you, whilst i ignore you .

You're only gonna ignore me because your pale ass wont debate all the truth i spit above tmaking your whole "american culture" argument look stupid.
why u ignoring what i wrote above?
u cant debate it?

I went to school for this you haven't, shyt em cost me 40,000

I've been at George Clinton's United Sound studio and did sessions with he drummer for George Clinton

I've spoken to the Funk Brothers

YOU DON'T KNOW shyt

even people in the comments section of that dumb ass site you posted stated the truth, its a known fact

and none of those are eptymologists who study the origins of words...if this was a debate about what key Billie Holiday sang Blue Moon in I would defer to you. You cannot prove the origins of the word, neither can I.

Only reason why we are discussin this is because you keep trying to tout your knowledge by throwing a bunch of irrelevant comments on here instead of talking about the main argument.

relevance?

Blacks have always used slang, jazz was a slang term for sex, which is what would happen after you go out for a night and enjoy music
if you were a straight man and not a bati boy like yourself

same with Rock N Roll, times changed, msuic changed, that was the new slang term for sex black people used

Listen you are obviously less educated than me so I will ask you nicely to listen

EPTMOLOGY DOES NOT WORK FOR A SLANG TERM

If you look up the origins of the word HEAD, it has NOTHING TO DO WITH GETTING YOUR dikk SUCKED

do you understand

that's not the same. Head in the way you're using it, didn't start as a slang word first and then become an official word, which is what you're saying Jazz did. Like you're being insultingly stupid right now.

You're saying the word Jazz has origins from a slang word - and you're definitively saying its true and there's no proof of that at all. Eptymologists have studied and researched this and it's there in the links that you refused to read. Because if you had then you would know i posted impartial links and that some of them do talk about potentially the word coming from Jism - but again at that time those words meant several differnt htings. One of them was to be energetic and lively. Which would better describe the type of music - you need to research before you comment because you have no idea what you're talking about. You took a class and heard some things and now it's true. smh...

I've posted the links and proven myself - not going to go into this any further because you refuse to admit you might be wrong.

Listen you simpleton

WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT THE WORD JAZZ

WE'RE JAZZ THE MUSIC

JAZZ THE WORD AND JAZZ THE SLANG TERM HAVE TOO DIFFERENT MEANINGS

Jazz the music comes from the slang term jazz which means sex, every jazz musician knows this, every music historian knows this, this is taught in every single music history class in the country, it's up for debate

also it doesn't matter what its called, the music came from the black communitys culture

don't disagree it originated in the black communities/creole communities and is now part of American culture. America owes a great deal of gratitude to black americans lending cultural art and advancements to America.

as the great Duke Ellington said, "By and large, jazz always has been like the kind of man you wouldn't want your daughter to associate with. The word "jazz" has been part of the problem. The word never lost its association with those New Orleans bordellos. In the 1920s I used to try to convince Fletcher Henderson that we ought to call what we were doing "Negro music." But it's too late for that now. This music has become so integrated you can't tell one part from the other so far as color is concerned."
