Dominicans also own a lot of the shyt in Washington Heights, the barber shops, taxi bases, grocery stores and super markets, bakeries, clothing stores, etc. and they have more control in the local politics with their elected official if I'm not mistaken. It's also just their immigration hub they gonna keep coming...

Research rent and house prices in this area. You have to make a lot just to live in a middle class area so it doesn't matter how much you make if you still live in middle to lower class.
