It doesn't surprise me that there's demand for Washington Heights/Inwood, that always seemed like a cool section of Manhattan to me
It's a gem if you live anywhere between 168th-181st

only a few stops away to Times Square on the A train or a short drive to Edgewater in Jersey.

I bet @88m3 picked up a few chicks in the area.

Also the nice parks, and not being overly congested while still being in Manhattan

Why the fukk didn't the drug dealers and musicians in New York buy up all the real estate when it was predominantly black and cheap? They could have made a grip during this gentrification. Black people STAY losing in this country.

Because most of the NYC rappers didn't actually accumulate wealth til the 2000's...and even then, they were more concerned with self, than community.

Spike Lee for example, is just as guilty of the gentrification problem as the white gentrifiers..... He sold the "authentic Brooklyn experience" in all his films.... yet turns around and cries foul when people wanna move there.

But tell me, just how would Blacks selling these same properties and being the facilitators of gentrification that's displacing their own people be considered a Win?

White people are moving in any building that goes up in the Stuy. It's sad as hell. Whenever I see those "residential construction LLC" signs on A lot or abandoned building, I already know what's sup... The building owners are only looking for white tenants. It's just way too many white people in my area for my liking. They walk through the hood like it's all good. :mjcry:

And in my area it's so easy to get to Manhattan, Queens and the BX using the train, so it's a gold mine for Cacs.

That's why Southeast Brooklyn is the best :blessed:
