Well she gave up her dreams to support the Curry, the kids and the family. She wanted to be an actress. In this era where women value their careers and wanting to be number 1 that's extremely admirable to me. I'd add this is the one thing many women don't understand. Men aren't looking for another them, in that that we don't give a shyt about your career or how much money you make we just want an attractive and supportive woman. Steph has that in Ayeesha and that's awesome to me.

She's earned to capitalize off Curry's basketball stardom because they're a team. I don't think it's fair to say she hit the lottery. She was around when his NBA dreams didn't look to be a guarantee.
Are her kids grown? What career as an actress?

She made one comment on Dec 5th and people are upset about it even in April the following year

talking bout she shaming other people...

Lets examine this.....lets presume she was trying to shame these women as the claim goes.....if you as a woman made the choice to dress a certain way why would you care what ayesha curry thinks? did she buy your clothes? nope
Do you have to seek her approval for your attire? no

Do you feel somewhat ashamed or embarassed by your attire? If the answer is NO then how is she shaming you or others...

There is this weird idea that you can get people to chose how they react to you...Dressing skimpily does not make you a slut.....but on the other hand if you dress skimpily you have no control over whether someone gets to think you are a slut.....Is that fair? Of course its not but the world does not operate on fairness.

Seriously...what is your problem?

If a scandal came out she obviously isn't who we thought she was, so the situation would be completely different. That is the whole point. Although I'm not personally that much attracted to stay at home wives, I will always support broadcasting of a positive black image -which is what Ayesha currently represents. Having Nene Leaks as a role model is very convenient because you don't have to strive for anything. Ayesha is something you have to strive for, which insecure people don't like.

I'm not trying to attack your position, I'm just genuinely alarmed by the fact that one of the few positive black women with media coverage is recieving so much backlash from our own.

:dwillhuh: how could you possibly attack my position when I have yet to state it? I haven't touched on anything your post is about. I already stated I like her and I don't get the hate for her. I haven't said anything about her being a role model or not. She shouldn't be a role model or anything. Or even don't look up to her because it might be fake. It was more about the men than anything.

My point in bringing that up was people comparing themselves or others when they really have no idea who they are or what goes on in their life. You took one part of my post and went left.

I'll be honest.

If I wanted to be a wife, she and Michelle are the way to go. They have accomplishments and ambitions outside their husbands but also hold their families down.

At the same time I will not put them on a pedestal. They are the ideal, something many people feel we should strive for, but the reality is that many people are never going to reach that. A lot of people don't want to.

As others have said its always good to have a positive example of a black family or black people on television. I love seeing Obama and his fam on tv and I love seeing Steph and his fam on tv.

In terms of the modesty and "shaming"...at what point do we ask if any behavior can be criticized in the 21st century without someone being outraged? TV is full of women acting catty, selfish, ugly, jealous, etc etc etc. This isn't just black women, it's white women too. Both races have really popular reality shows that almost glorify destructive behavior.

I'm not here to shyt on Amber Rose and other women like that. I have no problem with women who use their body to their advantage. Just as I have no problem with Curry being moderate. I have a problem with women AND men who get a spotlight to act ignorant on television or in music or social media. We're watching the most vain and vapid generation rise in part due to this shyt.

So thank god for Curry showing some diversity. Lord knows tv needs it right now.

Would you rather I say a barometer for wifeability?

God damn nazi.
Litmus test: a decisively indicative test.

This was your litmus test.
If hoes hate her, she ain't good.
If hoes love her, she ain't good.

Oh okay. I read your other post wrong.

Basically I feel like most hoes have been a peice of shyt at some point in their lives(just like nikkas), but if a bytch loves Ayesha and how she carries herself she's probably striving to be a good woman and I respect that... With that said I think most women fall for the image of a man and not the man himself, so if the aforementioned woman is getting her Ayesha on with a good dude, she'll still drop that nikka for good dude 2.0. Ayesha is so down for Steph, because there's no going up from him.:manny:
