Avengers wins again beats the Dark Knight in domestic gross

This movie was getting so much hype that I was hesitant to see it. Last time that happened, I gave in and went to see Avatar

But this move was pretty good. I even saw it twice

I mean, the ground work was laid, tho. Iron Man, Captain American, and even Thor was good shyt. Iron Man 2 is arguable, but Tony Stark was gonna be money in this setting.

I couldn't think of any reason going in why Avengers wouldn't be godly

Both good movies but the Avengers has a better "watch it when it's on TV" potential. I bought DK DVD but have only watched the movie once and partly because I read the quality of the blu ray was supposedly incredible. It's been on a few times on TV but I never watch it. The story is good and but Bale's Batman voice is so dumb, it ruins the seriousness tone of the movie. It makes the movie goofy.

Avengers doesn't take itself too seriously, is fun with a good amount of action. I'll buy the blu ray and also probably watch it on TV when it's on.

Why the he'll did Nolan say it was okay for Bale to use that Batman voice?

Hence why GI Joe 2 was delayed over a year to make it 3D.

I loved TDK, but I preferred the Avengers.

TDK = Great Movie
Avengers = Great COMIC BOOK Movie.

TDK would stand alone as incredible, but it's setting doesn't allow it to have more of the comic Batman world characters to be involved. Avengers doesn't have that issue.

BOTH are great movies, and I'm sure DKR will be incredible as well.

Avengers is essentially Battle for L.A. / Transformers 3 meets Marvel comics.

Nah, it's a good quality movie, much much much better than that trash. Probably the best "comic book" movie since Spiderman 2.

Dark Knight is like the art chick with the fine angular features and ebon hair who makes you drink chi tea and admire her art from detritus after watching a double feature of Gummo and Donnie Darko and before whispering “not so hard” into your ear during three AM missionary sex.

The Avengers is like the girl with sandy blonde hair and freckles who plays on the volleyball team and gives you a handjob in the theater while you watch Crank before taking you to her place for body shots and a demonstration of how her interest in sports has gifted her with the unique skill set to make reverse cowgirl a life changing experience.

The Dark Knight is a cerebral movie where the dialogue is crucial to every aspect of the film. For a comic film to be that philosophical is rare and that's what makes it a gem. Yet Nolan is shooting himself in the foot by releasing this in the summer. Summer flicks are just for the visuals and the Avengers delivered the quintessential summer flick.

I know for a fact Dark Knight Rises will do great numbers, but it's easier to take the whole fam to see a CGI slugfest with some humor here and there than it is to take them to see DKR. I give Nolan props for sticking to his guns and not falling into the 3D wave. The fact that DKR will be in Imax will compensate for the sales that Avengers made off of 3D.

The true test will be the Avengers sequel though........
