I thought the jokes were kind of overdone in the first, especially with Tony. I think the previews misrepresented Ultron, as in he was much more of son of Tony, and you can see that in the character (one of the few things I liked about Ultron). But I thought that both movies had more misses than hits with the comedy. I actually though the chemistry with Hulk/Black Widow worked really well (for all its awkwardness) , it's just that it came out of nowhere :why:, especially after Cap/Winter Soldier. I still thought that the action was well done, although the Hulk/Iron Man fight started to get on the destruction porn train.

I don't even mind the destruction stuff because i grew up on 80s and 90s action flicks and this seems to be a new criticism of action movies and I also know that all of the destruction in the marvel movies will lead to superhero registration act more than likely.

i mean its a comic book movie ..

ultron if he was so smart would kept a verison of himself away from the battle in case he loses - but its implied he didnt and viison was able to force him to localize in to the machines he controlled

the only super villain to have a good back up was the joker in the dark knight :yeshrug:

isnt that how its supposed to feel?:what:
every fukkin comic film doesnt have to follow the DC "hey we can somehow make the Wonder Twins dark and gritty" formula:deadmanny:

The Dark Knight trilogy is not better than the MCU because it's "dark and gritty". There's plenty of "dark and gritty" movies that suck.

The Dark Knight trilogy is better because it's better. :manny:

That's is one thing (okay a couple), I didn't understand about this film, they really should've pushed/established the Cap/Iron Man divide in this one.:mindblown: They laid some the groundwork , and then abandoned it. Makes me think Cap:Civil War will be that in name only.

Really? I thought they made a point to show that he already spread to the internet and was now everywhere at once.

Nah, they showed that he could do that initially, but since his primary software or whatever was in that main body, Vision purpose in attacking him was to block him from being able to do that anymore. His conscious at that point was supposedly only for all of the robots at his hub area, the city. Though yeah, it would've been wise for him to have had back up robots on other parts of the world or something.

Just seemed like to me that he was done breh and that he blew up everything and decided to stop tinkering. If he decided to start tinkering again and building and be iron man again, seems like an important plot point. Doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the flick, I still say it's solid, nothing great but middle of the road for me. But it would've been nice to acknowledge that development which he then mentioned again at the end of this movie when he said he's done

The last line of the movie is him saying "I am Iron Man". Blowing the suits up was just him showing that he's over his PTSD(which he built those specific suits out of) which caused him to build and build, live through the suits, in isolation and ignore his girlfriend. At the end he's over that phase which is why he initiates "The Clean Slate protocol" a new start, with the realization that he makes the suit not the other way around and that Tony Stark is Iron Man no matter what.

Yeah there's gotta be the catch up in civil war but they did do a nice job in laying the groundwork for it

Only a fool would say that $187M is bad or even underwhelming but I will say this. Furious 7 isn't available in the U.S. in 3D and it did about $40M less than this which means about the same number of actual people saw it, and is probably going to pass The Avengers 2012 worldwide total.

I love Fast and Furious but they literally make these up as they go. MCU should be dominating a make - shift action series and they aren't. That's impressive.

You forget that the FF7 has Paul Walker's death going for it. Death always big ups the numbers.

idk, it doesn't take much work to push that divide. the characters are core opposites. besides, they did a great job of it in the first Avengers (even tho it was mind gem-assisted).

i was a little more :patrice: about Cap falling back in line with Fury after what went on in Winter Soldier

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
I don't understand how most of you couldn't see the transition. Phase 1 was about the initial infancy. Character roles being born and their evolution. Phase 2 has been about their rise and transition. AOU is basically the their transition and evolution to make way for new members. Phase 2 basically laid the ground work for the Infinity gems. If you don't get it by now then you never will. You can only have but so many villains on EARTH for the avengers to fight. It's an easy win every time. This movie wasn't even about the villain. Ultron was a pawn for something bigger.
