You think Doc and them boys gonna do something about this...

@3Rivers
99% of me says no but I'm holding out that 1% that they will. I'm basically hoping they were waiting on the punishment before they made their move.
From what I've been reading from my FB and other things by black folk is that the majority of blacks seem as if they'll be disappointed if they don't do anything. So hopefully they realize that.

Wake.
You nikkas blaming Silver for being too soft are fukking idiots tbh. The commissioner basically works for the owners. The owners fire/hire the NBA commissioner, not the other way around.

Like some are saying the other owners are the only ones who can force him out by rule. And the players, coaches, fans have the non-traditional power by effecting the product (ie the money) until Sterling basically has no reason to want to continue owing the team.

The minute Malcolm X changed from the hate diatribe of the NOI and MLK changed from the equality train to a transfer in resources (structural, financial, and educational) they were killed off in record time.

My whole thing is why wait and delay this for so long? We all knew this was going to be the minimum he would have gotten, these nikkas could've saved the Clippers' players a little bit of stress and announced this on Saturday during that half assed press conference.

I want the Clippers to sit out tomorrow, but at the same time I realize that it's fukked up that the league is even putting them in this position. The NBA constitution leaked, according to sources at ESPN it takes a 3/4ths majority vote to kick an owner out of the league. I think Silver has been working on trying to get the owners to agree to it, but they don't have the necessary votes to enact this, thus putting him in this position where he's going to have to announce this fukk shyt tomorrow when he was expecting to be able to announce the 3/4ths expulsion.

As a Clipper player, what peace of mind does this fine and suspension give you? Ok, he's not allowed in the building and he's losing a million dollars (that he'll make back tomorrow night anyways!), and after the game he can check his bank account from his mansion in LA and see that his boys have made him even more money that night, and will continue to do so throughout the playoffs.

If you're a black Clipper player I have no idea how you can keep playing without feeling somewhat guilty of your actions.

they dont need to feel guilty about anything. hes rich and nothing can change that. ask yourself who is hurt by them sitting out ? the answer isnt sterling.

You're wrong. Are you a professional troll or are you just this stupid?

Them sitting the game out brings global media attention to the situation. Obama will issue ANOTHER statement on this. The NBA is going to look like an organization who protects a racist in a primarily black league. The media is going to want even more answers now, because players have NEVER sat out a game in modern American history, especially not playoff games. The media will start asking questions, "why aren't league owners voting him out? He has a known racist past, why haven't past commissioners/owners done anything? Who's stopping the 3/4ths vote to get him removed from the league?" Sponsors will see all the negative heat all of these owners are bringing to the league and start bailing on the entire league. The league can't fine or suspend the players, or else they'll be forcing employees to work for an owner who is on record calling them "the enemy" and "100% lower than himself". The league would have too much heat on it for not removing him...and the owners would be forced to vote to remove him from ownership in order to save themselves.

It's not that hard of a process to follow my dude.

You think standing up as a man and having dignity has ANYTHING to do with hurting Sterling feeling? To hell with his feelings.

Dude basically wants to cover his ass in case he gets caught slipping saying some racist/homophobic/sexist/xenophobic shyt, therefore he's against setting precedent to remove owners from the league who do such actions. Mark Cuban doesn't support a zero tolerance policy in the NBA for racism, sexism, xenophobia, and homophobia for players AND owners. It's as simple as that.

This is what killed me. He went on that diatribe about what would happen if an owner makes a homophobic or xenophobic remark. I had the :what:, couldn't believe that this piece of shyt was already trying to cover up for this shyt. Of course if they are caught making those remarks, then their asses need to go. I never thought Mark Cuban was this player's owner that the media manufactured him to be, but I also didn't think he was this morally bankrupt.
