nikkas have brought into White ppl retort of MLK. He really wasn't a bytch ass nikka.

I get so angry when white people bring him up during a discussion about racism.

"Why is it always about race with black people? MLK said judge our fellow man by the content of his character, not the color of his skin."

You're wrong. Are you a professional troll or are you just this stupid?

Them sitting the game out brings global media attention to the situation. Obama will issue ANOTHER statement on this. The NBA is going to look like an organization who protects a racist in a primarily black league. The media is going to want even more answers now, because players have NEVER sat out a game in modern American history, especially not playoff games. The media will start asking questions, "why aren't league owners voting him out? He has a known racist past, why haven't past commissioners/owners done anything? Who's stopping the 3/4ths vote to get him removed from the league?" Sponsors will see all the negative heat all of these owners are bringing to the league and start bailing on the entire league. The league can't fine or suspend the players, or else they'll be forcing employees to work for an owner who is on record calling them "the enemy" and "100% lower than himself". The league would have too much heat on it for not removing him...and the owners would be forced to vote to remove him from ownership in order to save themselves.

It's not that hard of a process to follow my dude.

again. then why are you guys ONLY calling for the clippers to sit? i dont see not one of you calling for a playoff boycott. youre all ok with the clippers fukking their season off as long as your own teams still get to compete.

Quit deflecting and ignoring my entire post that shut down your initial dumbass argument.

If the Clippers-Warriors series doesn't continue, the playoffs can't continue. What are they going to do? Give whoever is supposed to play the winner of that series a bye and ignore the controversy completely? Making them look even more careless about harboring a known racist in their league?

I hope the rest of the league sits as well, but at the same time I'm realistic and understand the probability of that happening is slim. I doubt the Clippers will even do it....let alone every single team in the playoffs. But if the Clippers alone do it, that will be enough for change. It's bigger than basketball...and you're an absolute fukking idiot if you think I care about my NBA team getting to compete more than I care about racism.

Exactly. At the end of the day the players make the game.

Although they should take it a step further and forfeit the series. Then refuse to take the court next season unless the owners slide Sterling out the door.

The minute Malcolm X changed from the hate diatribe of the NOI and MLK changed from the equality train to a transfer in resources (structural, financial, and educational) they were killed off in record time.

MLK was ethering white folks before his assasination. He stopped trying to preach nonviolence to appease whitey. He opposed Vietnam and them cacs wasn't letting him put doubts in the brothas heads they was sending over to Vietnam for slaughter.

Martin knew when he was going to die. His last public speech on the eve of his death. Check the ENTIRE vid especially the end, the contempt and fury

Wait I understood why the Clippers did this but Im surprised Miami did this (there's a Lebron of the moment dikkrider joke)
Wouldnt people misinterpret this as a shot to Mickey even though I get its standing in solidarity with the Clipper players

this is going to get ugly. ..I hope you brehs are ready for the fukkery
It's long overdue. I think this incident is a turning point for black America. Racism against blacks is growing at an astonishingly fast rate. That national discussion on race is about to happen. It won't be pretty.

Everywhere...You never there.
So Silver doesn't have that power, it's up to the players to pressure the other owners to force him out.

fixed.

Owners aren't gonna do shyt without pressure.

I've concluded that today's athletes aren't the ones we should be looking to for social justice. They aren't built for it. Maybe we're wrong for expecting them to... after all, these guys just hoop. If they were 'bout that life, they'd probably be community organizers or activists... but in this scenario...

They need to stand up.
