So Silver doesn't have that power, it's up to the other owners to force him out.
Silver can enforce a vote, which can ultimately force him out.
Unfortunately we all know how this story ends

So Silver doesn't have that power, it's up to the other owners to force him out.
So Silver doesn't have that power, it's up to the other owners to force him out.
Mob justice does not a fair society makeHit him with the fine, ban him for life, strip him of the franchise, then sell it to Magic and his group.
My whole thing is why wait and delay this for so long? We all knew this was going to be the minimum he would have gotten, these nikkas could've saved the Clippers' players a little bit of stress and announced this on Saturday during that half assed press conference.
I want the Clippers to sit out tomorrow, but at the same time I realize that it's fukked up that the league is even putting them in this position. The NBA constitution leaked, according to sources at ESPN it takes a 3/4ths majority vote to kick an owner out of the league. I think Silver has been working on trying to get the owners to agree to it, but they don't have the necessary votes to enact this, thus putting him in this position where he's going to have to announce this fukk shyt tomorrow when he was expecting to be able to announce the 3/4ths expulsion.
As a Clipper player, what peace of mind does this fine and suspension give you? Ok, he's not allowed in the building and he's losing a million dollars (that he'll make back tomorrow night anyways!), and after the game he can check his bank account from his mansion in LA and see that his boys have made him even more money that night, and will continue to do so throughout the playoffs.
If you're a black Clipper player I have no idea how you can keep playing without feeling somewhat guilty of your actions.
You think Doc and them boys gonna do something about this...Welp it's all on the players now. Hopefully Doc and Mark can come together as black men and decide to sit their teams. That way they can still eventually play their game that means a lot to them without anyone having to forfeit.
We can only hope tho
That has nothing to do with what Silver can do though and not only that, they have to cover themselves for when Sterling inevitably sues because his racist testimony probably won't be admissible in court.
What you people don't understand is this is the most Silver can do. He can't run him out of his chair. Greenie explained this yesterday.
The only ones who can try to force him out are the players, owners and people.
A: Yes. Under the terms of Paragraph 13 of the constitution, the owners can terminate another owner's franchise with a vote of three-fourths of the NBA Board of Governors, which is composed of all 30 owners.
No, this is the most Silver can do;
If he came out and announced that tomorrow, not only would it put pressure on all 30 owners, but it would restore faith in the players.
I'll eat my shoe tomorrow if he does this, but he won't and then it'll be up to the players to decide...And then I'll make my decision as a fan from there.
nikkas have brought into White ppl retort of MLK. He really wasn't a bytch ass nikka.MLK wouldn't have played.
Actually Cuban has been pretty consistent on being against the league having too much power.Cuban says "When you start trying to legislate morality, you've got big problems,"
Meanwhile the NBA legislates whether physical altercations in games are morally righteous or not, and suspends/fines their players completely arbitrarily.
The NBA legislates whether saying "no homo" is morally righteous or not and fines Roy Hibbert for saying it.
The NBA legislates whether saying "fukking fakkit" in a moment of rage on the bench is morally righteous or not, and fines Kobe Bryant.
The NBA legislates whether posting a picture of a big booty bytch on your personal twitter account is morally righteous or not, and fines J.R. Smith.
The NBA legislates whether or not a player's private LEGAL marijuana use in the offseason is morally righteous or not, and suspends any player involved in that activity.
Why were you silent on those issues Mark? Nothing I hate more than an inconsistent motherfukker.
Dude basically wants to cover his ass in case he gets caught slipping saying some racist/homophobic/sexist/xenophobic shyt, therefore he's against setting precedent to remove owners from the league who do such actions. Mark Cuban doesn't support a zero tolerance policy in the NBA for racism, sexism, xenophobia, and homophobia for players AND owners. It's as simple as that.
