I agree that all black people have been fukked but the Africans here that I have talked too simply don't understand because they got to stay on their land and keep their culture. They are fine with studying hard and getting a job but never really having a chance at actual power in this country.
Also they have a much different idea of (racial/ethnic) unity than black americans do.
The ones you met don't speak for all of them though. But you're right, a lot of them don't understand. I make it my business to school em if they come at me with ignorance. But the only cynicism you should have is towards this country changing 400+ year old stripes, trust me when I tell you that for a lot of Africans colonialism was and in some ways continues to be a point of anger much like slavery is here. So some Africans can correlate those things and understand the greater struggle of all Black people, school those people if you ever talk to em again and if they don't get it then leave em to be victims of this mental war against us.
