People trying to argue he's only dead cause he was black and did what he did but black, white, or whatever if you take an officer's taser and fire it at them your chances of making it out of that encounter alive aren't good. Police officers are empowered to kill as they see fit in a bad situation and they will typically be protected. It takes incredible circumstances at this point for the cops to kill someone and face any serious punishment for it even if they were wrong.

Yeah that was murder. Told the kid upfront he was likely gonna kill him then did it. He was looking for a reason to kill somebody that day and felt he found one. The fact that he got off for it and is collecting his pension is even more disgusting. We can't have police offecers out here behaving like that and getting away with it. It just re-enforces the message that they're above it all and can do whatever they want.

The problem is when you give a person a gun and give them a license to kill in the event they feel fear you're gonna get people dying. Just giving a person a gun fundamentally changes how an interaction will play out. Take the gun away and the willingness to do a lot of things vanishes.
