I’m not reading through this thread. This is fake news. A nikka can’t argue with me cause I live in the heart of Atlanta and a professional myself. This shyt ain’t easy up here, but Atlanta rewards those who hustle. You gotta network and just have some hustle about you and the sky is the limit really. This is for the business side and the street side. See so many black people getting money up here, that you realize it’s YOU that’s the problem if you can’t get it how you want. Cause Atlanta has opportunity, that shyt is not a debate

no one looks at a "top 100" business school as mattering...especially not at the graduate level. like i added to my post, if you're not going to a top 20 (30 if being generous) graduate business program, your degree "doesn't matter" . outside of the top 30 you should be getting an mba/graduate degree on someone else's dime, and you shouldn't expect it to be some "door opener" in the general job market. it's a nice to have, but MBA's and JD's are a dime a dozen, that's why it really matters where you went to school for those degrees to be worth the investment.

also, no shyt black people are generally in lesser position economically than whites in nearly every metro, but taking the case of ATL on it's own doesn't mean it's not a good place for blacks to prosper, let's compare these numbers to how black people are doing in other metro areas, or other "black" meccas.

if you go a long time without landing a role, then yes, some take anything to get some income to fill the gap. and a degree doesn't make you qualified, doesn't mean you actually have skills or are a good worker, and above all, it doesn't mean you interview well. you can have all the degrees in the world but if you've accomplished nothing in the work place or you suck at interviewing, then it's going to take much longer to find a job

Bucktown, U.S.A. (Harlem, NY) + 'Cuse, NY
That's why when people shouting like paid sponsors about how ATL (let alone any down south state) is Utopia where everything and everybody black prospers within two days is ludicrous.

No wonder why some of my aunties and uncles (along with their kids) moved to NYC for a better life.

OVERRATED.
